2020 Louisiana F-Class Long Range Championship

For the folks that have traveled to this match....post up your picks for the best hotel/motels close to the range.
 
Norm, I've stayed at the Comfort Inn at the SE corner of I-49 and the Bert Kouns loop. It is a decent hotel and just over 15 min from the range and about 5 minutes, or less, from a Waffle House on the other side of I-49 on the Bert Kouns loop. That is where I plan on staying.

I stayed in the 'Home 2 Suites' by Hilton in Shreveport for an LRA match recently. The hotel was brand new, maybe 2-3 months old; pretty nice setup. Kitchen in the room, and close to a bunch of stuff. More than enough space in the room to clean rifles etc.

~$100 a night & ~15ish minutes from the range.

I'll be there again.
 
Some very fine dining on the south side of Shreveport. Couple of places on the Southern Loop, Franks, Daq's and Windrush grill come to mind.

The southern loop is betwixt the range and the south side of Shreveport where the motels are. Franks and Windrush are a little more up-scale but all have good food.

Just west of I-49 on Youree Drive, most of the standard chain restaurants can be found.

There are several good places to eat. Most of the Houston guys stay in Mansfield. So that’s where I’ve meet them for dinner.
 
Any TR shooters out there interested in pairing up for the team match on Friday? If so, shoot me a PM.

Hate to bring an old topic to the forefront, but we only have two shooters on the waiting list.. both are national champions. Hmm. One other point regarding the match, on Saturday and Sunday, individual matches, shooters will have unlimited sighters for each 1000 yd match. We originally had unlimited sighters the first match of the day and 2 sighters the remaining matches each day.

Hey Skip! I have never shot that range, however, I have heard it is a very tricky range! Looking forward to the match!
