2020 Louisiana F-Class Long Range Championship, Sep 18-20

Congrats to Team McMillan shooter Omar Alonzo for his win in Fopen. It came down to the last few shots....literally. That's two in a row!

Congrats to Randy Littleton! FTR also came down to the last match.

I'm going to have to rebuild my joystick on the Neo as I think I wore it out trying to keep up with changes (which is not recommended:rolleyes:)

Great match and great competitors. Congrats to Omar and Randy!

Also a big thank you to Skip Barkley, Ric Clarke and their crew for a well organized and smooth ran match!!

A special shout out to Robin Ardoin for donating a cash prize to highest Xcount in Fopen and Ftr. Thank you Robin!

Tim's 15 X's in match 4 was freaking awesome! The conditions were far from easy. if I am correct Steve Crow's 10X's in FTR is a range record also; It helped him to win the X Prize along with Tim on the Open side.

...if there's a range record for most 8's, I think I've got that too. Besides sponsoring the X awards, thanks for those great ropes in the pits!

Sure was a fun match! Perfectly run, great crowd, challenging conditions - couldn't have been better.

We want to thank everyone that put this match together. It was very well run and the range itself is amazing. It is east of the Mississippi, but it is one of the toughest ranges in the country. If you are lucky enough to practice at Long Range Alley, you will be well-prepared for ANY range and any amount of wind. We did not do so well on our first outing, but I believe Skip put us on the unlucky firing points two days in a row to ensure we would come back to do better next time. :) Congrats to Randy & Omar on their impressive performances.

First off. THANK YOU to Ric, Skip, Mahala and the rest of the LRA crew for organizing a great match! From the speed on result posted, to the awesome metals which were engraved, to the efficiency in herding the cats to the pits, to the arranging of the nice food truck, dialed in perfect weather, etc, etc, etc... AWESOME FOLKS!!

Second thank you to Robin in the contributions on the X race award and the super nice pull ropes for the pits! VERY COOL! Thank you! Congrats on the 3rd place!!

Congratulations to Omar, Tim on pretty much making it a 2 person race in Open class. Both of you just had the conditions roped..! Amazing X counts from both of you!

Congrats to the FTR folks! Randy, Jade and Jen! you guys dialed in those rough conditions with those slowly Tree O eights and shot extremely well.!! Congrats on the 1,2,3!

awesome match!

Ric, Skip, and Mahalla deserve applause for such a well run State Championship. It was obvious they had many hours invested of thought and hard work, every detail seemed to have the I's dotted and T's crossed. You'd never had known this was the first ever LA State Match by the way it was run.

Hats off to Robin for his contributions in assisting promoting this event, the puller ropes, and with the X count prize.

I'll attempt steal a quote from Jade to summarize this match..."LRA is one of those places you can go into the last match 10 points down, and you're still not out of it".

Congrats to the Champions, Omar and Randy. Outstanding shooting in challenging conditions, against a great field of shooters.

Congratulations to both Omar and Randy! GREAT shooting guys! I'll tell you >>> The Texas crew is VERY tough to beat!
No excuse for your absence Ben! Tsk Tsk.... John said he did everything except wrap you in duct tape and throw you in the trunk to get you over here but you could not be had. Missed you. BTW, that 7 SS with them long boolets is working well. Thanks for the help.

You are quite welcome my good friend! My back was not in the best shape and I would have had a very miserable time because of it! I had a hard time just standing up Friday and Saturday.. By the way, you had a VERY strong showing! Very well done!

Big thanks to everyone involved in putting this match on, it was very well run. Thanks to Robin as well for the donations, appreciate that my friend. We couldn't have asked for better weather, cool in the mornings with stout winds all weekend and clear skies. This range is known for tough conditions and it didn't disappoint. There was a lot of head scratching at times on the line......:D.......Perfect for a championship match! It was great getting to see and shoot with everyone again. Congrats to Randy and Omar on the win, great shooting guys! Also, congrats to everyone else that shot well. It wasn't easy.

I'm glad y'all had a good time Scott, it was good visiting with you and Christine again. As for the range, it's a bear most of the time and we are lucky to be close enough to get to shoot it pretty regular. It'll definately keep you on your toes. Hope the trip home went well.

Thanks to the Louisiana crew - Skip, Ric, and Mahalla for an extremely well run match and to Robin for the "extra goodies"! Their hard work allowed us to enjoy a great match.

The range lived up to its reputation as a tough place to shoot - perfect for a championship match!

I also want to include Tony in the crew deserving praise. He is Mahala’s husband and quietly and behind the scenes busts his hump to make matches run smooth. He was driving the pit change trailer as well as performing other duties. I’ve seen him pull targets all day when we did not have enough shooters to fill a squad at monthly matches.

Great match! Thanks to Skip and LRA crew this match was without a doubt one of the top matches to shoot. I will definitely be trying to make it out there more often. Congratulations everyone.

I want to thank the Louisiana crew for putting on a great match. Congratulations to all the winners. I had a great time, made some new friends, and learned I can't see the flags for s---, or to put it simply can't shoot for s---. I have a feeling that us Arizonians will be back. See you somewhere.
John
