2019 SIERRA CUP may 25-26 600 yrd Fclass, st. Louis,,,,,RESULTS

It was a nail biter today in F-TR today...top three shooters differed only in X-count, and it was anyone's game right up to literally the very last shot. I'll post a few more comments tomorrow, but I just got home a short while ago and I'm a total wreck from the long weekend/travel. Congrats to all the winners (Benchrest, Open, and Sling), there were a lot of very fine shooters in attendance at the Sierra Cup this weekend!

Congrats to all the winners. Thank you Joe and the team of volunteers that make this happen. Thank you Sierra and all the mfg donations for prizes. Like Ryan said this is a lot of work and long hours to put this on. Runs like well oiled machine. Hope to bring a new shooter to the line next year.

What a great match!!! Awesome competition Well run great prize table great food. How could you ask for anything more. And how about joe Meyer runs all this and still wins bench class. Just another dollar thanks joe and everybody

I had the privilege of scoring for Jana in one of her early near misses at a clean. With that being said 199-17 X is nothing hateful. The next day when she shot her clean she couldn’t wait to run down to the sling shooter area and tell my partner Dave and I of her accomplishment. You F class shooters take notice, if Jana gets really serious about this discipline y’all are going to be in trouble! LOL
It was truly a pleasure to see the looks of elation and accomplishment in the huge smile on her face when she shot that clean. Everyone that has ever done it, knows exactly what I mean. This match will be remembered for a long time, and I look forward to coming back next year to a great run match. Well done Joe and the rest of your staff for putting on the top shelf match!
Thanks,
Lloyd

I got a little sleep and am feeling (semi) normal again, so I wanted to comment a bit more on the match. Mike Allen and I were shooting next to one another on Sunday. We were within one point and one X of one another in 2nd and 3rd place at the start of the day. He gained a point back on me in the 1st match with an impressive 200-15X. He really shot lights out on Sunday, not dropping a single point on the day with a 400-26X. We both knew at the start of the final match that even one dropped point would be the difference. As soon as we were both finished and had both shot cleans, Mike reached over and we shook hands. All he said was, "That was fun!". It didn't really matter who won, or where we finished, it was just good competition and shooting the best you possibly could. Mike Allen is representative of the kind of people you have the honor of competing with and hanging out with when you participate in the shooting sports. They're just a great bunch of folks to be around.

I would also like to thank Joe Meyer and everyone that helped him for putting such a great match. It was extremely well-run, like clockwork, really, and like the previous week's MO State match put on by Ryan Cokerham, just a pleasure to participate in. I'm not sure what they teach (feed?) you boys growing up in Missouri, but if a lot more people in this country had it, it would be a far better place. You sure know how to put on one heck of a match and we shooters really appreciate your efforts! Thanks also to Sierra Bullets and all the many other sponsors for making the Sierra Cup match possible. The prize table was exceptionally generous. These matches would not be possible without the dedicated support of the sponsors and all the participants appreciate your efforts!

Like I mentioned in another thread about the recent MO State F-Class match at Bucksnort, if you haven't attended the Sierra Cup at the Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis, it should most definitely be on your bucket list. It's a fantastic facility, a great group of shooters, and an extremely well-run match.

2019 sierra cup is in the books! thanks to all who came out to shoot.... except for a few last minute drop-outs, we filled the match for the second year in a row.

Great match Joe! Thanks for all the hard work you put in to make this happen.

Thanks to all the good folks at Sierra...Tommy Todd..owner :D, Mark Walker..best shooter at Sierra, Michelle Gallagher..most hugged woman in Fclass!!

Congrats to the winners...My McMillan teammate and friend Joe Meyer getting it done in Bench Fclass....Rod Brakhage spanked all our butts in Open with 6.5x47L hammer;) congrats bud!....what a race in FTR, congrats to Greg Taylor nicely done sir!...Shout out to my buddy Mike Allen...while he is no newbie to the shooting sports he has about 5-6 real Fclass matches under his belt, to finish second in this crowd of FTR shooters is impressive... If he takes a notion to start going more I think his trophy wall will fill up quickly...congrats bud proud of ya!

I would like to thank Sierra and all the prize donors for a great match and prize table.
The meal was really good and appreciated.
I think this was a very well organized and ran match.
Each year the Sierra cup gets better.
Some very good competition and great group of people to shoot with.

But most of all I want to thank Joe for his many many hours and
stress of putting the match together and making it run smoothly.

The Greer family enjoyed it very much.

Thank you all
Donnie
