2019 SIERRA CUP may 25-26 600 yrd Fclass, st. Louis,,,,,RESULTS

What a great event on a fantastic range. Very nice meeting everyone. Nice shooting with you 1 shot, good luck with those stocks.

Thanks to Joe Meyer for running the match, the kitchen crew for the meals, and the awards provided by Sierra Bullets. Thank you Tommy, Mark, and Michelle! We had a great weekend. See you next year!

Joe has done a fantastic job with this match, and still managed to shoot lights out. I don’t think folks realize how much of a distraction being the Match Director is. It’s an absolute ton of work and his efforts are appreciated.

Congrats to all the winners and thank you to the sponsors. The prize table was fantastic.

I won a Bartlein barrel and was ecstatic. My current barrel has about 1000 rounds more than I’ve ever heard anyone get out of a .308 competitively.

Jim and I managed a repeat on the F-T/R team match. I forgot just how much fun team shooting is and hope to do more of it soon. It’s a very cool feature that makes the Sierra Cup a match that everyone should put on their calendar for next year.

First of all, Congratulations to the winners in all four disciplines – Sling, F-T/R, F-Open, and F-Bench. And again, thank you Joe for a fantastic match and a great time.

Fortunately, the thunderstorms forecasted for each day did not materialize. And with just a brief period of rain mid morning on Sunday, which was not enough to cause a delay, we had rather good conditions for the match both days, as evidenced by some of the impressive scores.

I would like to call your attention to the fourth place shooter in F-Open – Jana Schwartz.

This young lady has been shooting infrequently, for just a few short years, under the expert tutelage of her dad, Brad Plant; but she was rather unfamiliar with F-Class and 600 yards; that is, until this weekend. Not only did Jana came in fourth place in a field replete with excellent shooters, but her X-count was second only to winner Rod Brakhage’s X-count.

Jana had been looking forward to score what appeared to be a very elusive perfect ‘200’, which she missed three times by just one point. But she did it, and on the last match, she scored 200=10X! Congratulations Jana (and Brad) – I am sure we will be seeing you in future matches.

I personally had a great time! Shot my 22br and really enjoyed my neck and neck battle with Alex right to the last relay. He is exceptional for a 76 year old and the most improved shooter over the last few years. His little old man act isn’t fooling anyone anymore! Lol Good job Alex!

The whole match ran like clockwork thanks to David Lingle (range officer) and Patty the stat wizard. Joe really had this running smooth this year.
