2015 MO F-Class Mid Range State Championship Aug 29-30

Just got back to Phoenix, hot but DRY! Just wanted to say thanks to those who ran the match as well as all the shooters. I felt welcome from the minute I arrived. It as great to see some old friends and make some new ones. Congrats to the winners Imike and Nando, some truly spectacular shooting. Congrats to Kevin Shepard also, great job my friend!

It was a great match, and I can sincerely say that even if I had not won F-T/R. It was very well organized and conducted, and I have to make special mention to the clear, easily understood and heard range commands.

Competing with the shooters with whom I had shot previously, and with several whom I just met at this match was a very enjoyable experience. And considering the excellent shooters who competed; Russell, Gene, Brad, Jeremy, et al, I was fortunate to have been able to win F-T/R, but just two X’s!

While having dinner Saturday evening with my wife Judy, who accompanied me to the match, she commented how nice and friendly everyone was. “No wonder you enjoy this so much”, she also said.

Thanks to everyone for a great time!

Ryan, hats off on this one! The bucksnort crew kept us rowdy F'ers lined out and the people that came were fantastic to shoot with! Heck I didn't win a single relay during this match. I can't say I have ever been to a more exciting and enjoyable match. Thank you Ryan

Alex, my wife said the same thing to me one day......It's a awesome sport to be a part of, the friends you make are great.

Congrats on the fine shooting and win....... :)

I have been meaning to step outside my local MR "comfort zone" for quite some time now. Man I don't think I could have chosen a better venue than this one to do so! Ryan did a super job and all the local "death before F-class" range guys were great. Christopher does know how to run that line! The whole thing was a first class operation from the firing line to the pits to the food and social in the evenings. There will definitely be a return trip if I have the opportunity.

A special shout out to all the sponsors, to the MO guys that journey up my way and to Russell and especially Greg for "tolerating" my questions.

While my personal best was way down the line it was still a personal best.

What a great weekend. YOU GUYS CAN SHOOT!

Also, not only did Alex win F/TR, he will now be getting a HM card in the mail. He has worked his butt off dialing in his new rifle and working on load development. His hard work paid off this weekend. This was a 160 round match, so he really earned his HM card.

Ed it was really nice meeting you. You know it is not nice to ask questions and then beat me the next match.LOL All kidding aside you will travel up threw the ranks really fast my friend. You are a great shooter with real good instincts that will get you to the top quickly. Looking froward to shooting with you again .

The MO. match will be one that I will attend again and will be looking for the information early because this is going to be a very big destination match I predict. It was run really well and one of the smoothest matches I have shot in, and anybody that knows me knows I shoot in a lot of state championships. I try to make as many as possible every year. The food they served was over the top and the cooks and their wives worked all day then stood over the hot fryers all evening. They deserve a huge shout out. Just a first class operation all the way around, Thank you again.

Alex:
It was a pleasure meeting you and scoring and pulling your targets.
Incredible composure as your front rest was coming apart to keep them in the center.
Russell was in the pits watching one of the targets I was pulling for you, and we were admiring your elevation control (x-ring elevation for all 22 shots).
Was it just coincidence you won by Dos XX's.

Ryan thank you for putting on an outstanding match, smooth, efficient, friendly.

The awards and prize table were excellent, but

The Facilities, Fish, Frogs, and Friends were incredible. Now that's F-CLASS.

Sincerely,

Randy Snook

Randy,

It was a pleasure meeting and shooting with you, and also meeting and shooting with Brad. I made new friends this past weekend, and I am looking forward to meeting with all again.

Russell and Jeremy kept me on my toes through the first day, then Russell had a stellar performance to start off the second day, so at that point I decided to quit looking at the scores and just shoot the best I could without thinking about the outcome. I learned a lot during the match, and it only goes to reinforce my proverb in my signature.

Thank you Russell, now the competition, specially with myself, will be that more demanding!

Randy, that is really ironic, and I had not noticed it until you mentioned it! (Wonder what Russell will say?)

I want to take this opportunity to thank Ryan Cokerham, Joe Meyer, Mike Jakubczak, Lenny Bagdon, Pete Petros, and several of the other guys at the BRRC who helped me so much when I started in F-Class two years ago. I have seen them shoot, and I only hope to someday be able to come close to their skill level.

Thanks again!

I had the pleasure of being squaded Russell Myers this weekend (Dos XX). He is awesome to shoot with, it's not all about frogs and hush puppy's when it's time to shoot.

Thank you to all the guys at Bucksnort and the St. Louis range. It was a great match weekend! The place is gorgeous and I can't wait to return next year. It was well worth the 15 hour drive!
Everyone was very hospitable and kept everything one the light side! Lots of joking and comrade!

And man there were some kick ass scores shot this weekend!!

Oh, I don't know Mike . . . Judy(*) was amazed at how well and how fast you shot, and wondered if I tried to shoot faster maybe I would shoot better. But after seeing you guys shoot, I am beginning to think that your famous frog legs may have something to do with it as well. ;D

Alex

(*) She wanted me to thank you again for letting her use your fine spotting scope - she certainly was able to enjoy the match much better that way.

Congrats to Mike and Alex. What great shooting! Had a blast and enjoyed myself. Great bunch of guys and some danged fine shooting from everyone. And I thought Georgia had high humidity. Boy was I wrong!

I to would like to thank Ryan and Michelle and crew for running the match. it ran quickly and smooth without being rushed.
thanks to IMMIKE and Travis Greer and the Cokerhams for preparing the food. it was the finishing touch, and allowed
for fellowship among the shooters.
it was good to see some old friends and meet some shooters from around the country.
the competition was outstanding, literally coming down to the last shot.
congratulations to mike and alex. mike managed to win the match without winning a single relay!
Dan Bramley ate some frog legs then turned in an 800 score! coincidence???

a good time was had by all,,,, I look forward to shooting with everyone in the future!

LMAO!!! Likely no coincidence! You can bet your sweet little frog legs that I will be there a day early for legs BEFORE the match starts! Never fails, where ever I go shooters are some of the best people I have ever met. It was a great time and a great match, if I don't see all before, I will see ya next year at Bucksnort.

Dan, enjoyed our brief visit. That Joe kept us laughing on the line. He asked the range crew if they kept the receipts on those flags, Lol That tailwind kept us on our toes! Everybody shot awesome and no room for mistakes even though I made a couple too! Your 800 was the proof of your skills. I ain't giving Joe no credit for starting the standard of the match, lol
