2015 F-Class--Sierra Cup--October 3rd in St. Louis (RESULTS ARE POSTED!!!)

Re: 2015 F-Class--Sierra Cup--October 3rd in St. Louis (Trophy and Prize Pictures Up)

1st, 2nd and 3rd get some pretty good bullet certificates to enjoy. I have one from a previous match I'm saving for a new bullet they are working on. This is a first match of its kind for us. I still don't know what's for lunch yet, lol. But I know what's for dinner Friday so come on out for a feed and sight in!! Frog legs, white bass, hush puppy's and shooting , what's better than that? Don't answer that, lol.

Russell , it's way more than than a shoot can possibly profit, those guys at Sierra are as good as it gets. They love this sport just like we do.

Sierra has been great. They do an amazing job supporting the shooting sports and has proven it again with their prize table and picking up the tab for the plaques and trophies.

Great group!

I guess I better bring my cot and stay in the club house this time. Its normally a 20 min drive but with the bridge out so now an hour. I don't want to leave good company too early either. Joe is working hard on the T-shirts so I want to put pressure on him with post. Ha This should be a perfect weather shoot. Can't wait to see everyone and break bread together. I'm heading to the woods after this match.

Re: 2015 F-Class--Sierra Cup--October 3rd in St. Louis (Trophy and Prize Pictures Up)

Wish I could go. But my old tail can't stand another long haul drive this soon after BuckSnort and besides I don't have a suitable rifle yet to shoot. Even if it were possible to rush my current build in time for the match my wife would kill both me and Bulletman. ;D

What bridge is out? My room is in Warrenton. Does that hit me?

Or I have one that has beaten Immike before. Lol. I have to go camping with the cub scouts. So good luck to all who are shooting at this sierra match. I do not want to miss this next year.

Mike that is a very generous offer and is much appreciated Sir. I really can't swing it this time. It was a pleasure meeting you as well. Your stories, humor, and fried feast will be missed for sure.

Most everybody knows this, but we will be laying on the concrete under the roof and shooting slightly uphill so you travelers are informed. Super feet are required on the benches but I use them under my mud feet on the ground too. 615 yds to the targets and 632 to the impact. Elev. 750ft temp 60-80 expected. Wind direction: you never know at this range.

From one old fart that just started this game, old farts are welcomed and are treated well. Enjoy.

Rich, as Frank said,

You'll be hard to find a nicer and more helpful group of guys. I started two years ago, will turn 70 in a couple of months (I guess that qualifies me as an old fart?) and I am having the time of my life shooting F-T/R ;D.

Crash, get yourself out there Friday evening and help us eat and sight in. There will be plenty of time to ask them then and maybe get your first shots down range. There is no match pressure so that's definitly a good opportunity for a beginner to pick some brains. Matches are a busy affair and everyone has a job so it's hard to catch anyone for very long on race day. I want to hear this crash story for sure.

Congrats Mike. You're now on my excuse list to my wife for why I bought something new for this game. So this time instead of Tommy said I needed this it will be Mike said I need it. Lol.

Tommy thank Mike for taking my wife's glare off you for the time being. ;)

Frank, Frank, Frank, rule #1 We don't talk to our wives about shooting equipment. They know everything so why remind them? After you get done with the dishes I want you to run to the book store and order. "The grasshopper trap" written by Patrick McMantis. Within the pages of wisdom is a chapter on sneaking a gun in the house - right under her nose. Read this and you will soon learn that what she doesn't know can't hurt you!
