2015 F-Class--Sierra Cup--October 3rd in St. Louis (RESULTS ARE POSTED!!!)

Re: 2015 F-Class--Sierra Cup--October 3rd in St. Louis (Trophy and Prize Pictures Up)

I hear tell the wind nearbout shredded the wind flags. Bet them boolits had wild rides to the targets with the curl over from the trees.

Wow what a match!! I think I was the only one there shooting a 22 cal in the open class, lol Tough head wind day that most of us thought we were doing alright until the next relay bit our butts. We had a good slug out and the leaders changed every relay I think. Nobody knew who was winning until it was over, ha.

The cup winners are:

F-Open. Jim Fowler

FTR Paul Sirracusa

F-Bench. Dannie Wake

I want thank all the great people that came to this. We had a super day making new friends and shooting some bad scores together , lmao. The last bench relay was such a blood bath, I'm scoring Wilson between Johnny Ross and Jerry Kloppel and never laughed so hard at a match. How do you write Holy s*** on a score card? Lol

Well this is one for the record books. It was a great turn out. Lots of 7s and 8s flying around today, the wind was interesting to say the least. Some were able to still put up some good scores all things considered.

It was a great match sponsored by Sierra. Maybe we can make this an annual match.

Thank match results are up.

I would like to thank the fine folks at SIERRA for sponsoring the match today.
I had a great time, and I think it was huge success.
It was good to see all of our friends from Arkansas make the trip up,,,except for maybe one of them (fowler)!
The wind got pretty tricky, and you could see some confused shooters after a relay. Yeah, we've got some defective flags too!
Congrats to all the winners.
Jim Fowler put on a wind clinic! My hats of to you.
Thanks to Brett for running the match.
Thanks to mike Jakubczak for the feed and hospitality services.
I trust all had a good time, and hopefully we can do it again.

Somebody help Rabun add up his score, I want him to know I whipped his tail today. Lol. I gotta get something out of this! Lol That sucker had us scared when he shot clean this morning!!

That was a blast.

Sierra did it up right with the sponsorship. Kudo's guys. Thanks Brett & Joe.

Thanks Mike for manning the fryer. I forgot to give you frog dollars this time. I will catch you on the next trip.

Congrats to Jim, Paul, and Dannie. Great shooting guys.

Congrats to Dannie Wake on his F-Open Bench victory. This kind of competition is great for your wind reading skills. Congrats also to all the winners and competitors as I am sure everyone had a great time.

Thanks to Sierra for the trophies, prizes, and sponsoring the match! Thank you Brett, Joe and Mike for always doing a great job putting on a match, and making everyone feel welcome. Thank you David for running the fire line in the safe manner you always do. We wouldn't never have these matches if not for all of you'll work and as a shooter, it's very much appreciated!! Joe..I just got lucky and managed to pull the rigger when I should, but thanks for the words. I can tell you that I'd not trade that one string of fire for any national record. Looking forward to all the shoots next year in St. Louis.

Congrats to Dannie and Paul for they wins as well.

hi guys . i want to thank mike j for the warm hospitality he and all the guys showed when I came down to the club fri nite . I got a lot of questions answered . I had a chance to talk to some of ya'll and had enjoyable afternoon . mike was cooking up his hush puppies and taters . then he started on the frog legs. at first I thought it cruel to cut the legs off the frogs. I thought poor critters can't hop around now . then I thought what the hell I love chicken wings and I thought why should frogs be any different . I got to see a lot off equipment and fine looking rifles .
I came back sat during the match and watched. man everybody was cussing the wind conditions . I saw some good scores .
then I was asked if I would like to go and watch them score targets . so next round I went to the pit as a jafo .wow that was interesting and fun .
well ya'll got me and my bil hooked on this sport .
well there goes the bank roll lol .
I want to thank everybody I got to talk to and watch.
come spring I hope to be ready to shoot and have a good time with ya'll .
thanks rich .

You will fit in just fine Rich. It doesn't take long to get competitive if your heart is in it. Welcome aboard!

Thanks Dean.

I also want to thank Sierra for sponsoring this match. Each of the winners was presented with a certificate for 10 boxes of bullets as well as a trophy. Door prizes included Sierra shirts, hats and some external ballistics software. Prize tables like these make the matches well worth the trip for shooters who are on the fence about making a long drive. Mike's frog legs don't hurt either and he's a big reason that F-Class matches are so big in St. Louis.

Thanks also to Brett, Joe and Bobby for their work putting together and running this match.

Finally, congratulations to Dannie and Jim as well. I've been a regular at BRRC for the past 4 years and Jim Fowler put on the best display of wind reading in his final match that I've ever seen at that range.

Great job by all involved in running the match... match went very smooth I thought..wind was a BOOOGER and got worse as day went on... it wasnt none to warm either ... Thanks to SIERRA for all the sponsorship and prizes...Neil Greenwell

thanks mike . guys like you make it fun . once I get going and accustomed to the pressures then i'll get the competitive side of me in gear. again thanks to all of you that showed me how the sport is played . thanks again rich . ;D

Want to thank all the folks at the club for putting on a great match. Sierra really stepped up as a sponsor and kudos to them. First time down to your range and the frog legs and fried fish lived up to all I've heard about! Congrats to all the winners. Winds were not kind to anybody but a few of you got thru it without too much pain...awful nice shooting by lots of guys! Enjoyed scoring for Jim on his last match and must say that was one of the hardest efforts for a "clean" I've seen this year. I was hoping to pull a rabbit out of somewhere on that last match but you beat me too it!! You showed fantastic patience and were rewarded with a top finish. LONG way down to your place from WAY up north but the trip was worth it! Enjoyed talking to ya all and maybe see ya next year! Eric in DL

I want to thank Brett,Bobby and Joe and everyone involved in the Seirra match,
and the monthly f class matches through out the year. They are all very well
run. Lots of fun and good competition. Good guys to shoot with.

Thanks to Seirra for supporting the shoot.

And Thanks to the lady that always has a good meal for us.

Sorry I didn't there Friday night with the ice cream !

Thank you
Donnie

Curious what equipment and caliber people were running at this match?
