I would also like to thank everyone for reporting back to those of us that couldn't attend. When it first started, I was really wishing that I was there. After hearing the daily conditions, I don't feel as bad about missing out.

I agree with you.. It is a long way for me to drive with a fair amount of $$$'s spent to enter into a load of frustration. That is why I have to hand it to these guys! They went, spent and stuck it out! That, my friend, is dedication!

Well done to fellow Aussies Mark Fairbairn and Daryl Barlow- not an easy thing to jump on a plane, arrive at a range and play ball with the locals! Aussie Aussie Aussie!

I got to say this was the best reporting we have ever had! Thank you Johnny Ingram and Jim Fowler for taking time for us home bound. Also Keith Weil ,Wade Fillingam and everyone that reported the ground zero conditions that made us feel we knew what the scores meant.

+1

I've got to say that this was the toughest conditions I've ever shot in. Our first match today is without question the toughest conditions I've ever witnessed. We are talking about 3-5 MOA full value switches..and I mean RIGHT NOW switches. I laid on the firing line in this match and listed to complete silence for 10 mins or better..everyone was afraid to be the first brave soul to text the wind Gods...... on the first 30 min match, I fired 8 sighters in 19 mins...finally had to start shooting for record with 12 minutes left on clock...and I'll gladly admit that I had no freaking ideal as to where to shoot..first time in a very long time, I was complete baffled, lost, unable to read anything in value from wind and mirage..and it wasn't just me..scores reflect that...without doubt the toughest conditions I've ever death with, but all this made this the very best shoot I've ever attended. ...nothing like laying there, trying to figure out which side of your target your going to attempt to shoot at, complete silence on the firing line, while the guy laying on the firing point beside you keeps saying shoot, Fowler, shoot:)

Congrats to Dave, Bryan and all the other winners...it was well deserved!

Blood oath! Well done Aussies!

Thank you again for those who posted the updates/results. Looking forward to the equipment list.

The last two days of competition had some high winds and switches that I had not experienced before and left me thinking a lot after each shot! But I felt better knowing some of the nations best also had some issues.

On the last day I handed out points like Obama does welfare checks.

The experience was outstanding and the competitors made a bad day shooting a fun day overall exchanging stories.

Time to head home and back to reality.

Regarding the equipment list, we were able to collect a LOT of info on the last day from cooperative shooters. I'll try to get the data compiled shortly and posted within the next day or so. busy cleaning 2000+ pieces of brass and a few rifles right now :D

Thanks,
Scott

Thanks Scott! Looking forward to seeing that list!

Hope everyone has a safe journey home & looking forward to Lodi next year.

Ok I'll load a few photos for all to look at whilst Scott is cleaning rifles and brass! ;)
Good to meet you Scott! Fantastic shooting

Here is a storm photo that someone posted on Facebook page. Good photo looking at a storm cell working west of the range.

Nice pics Johnny! I wish someone could have captured the huge sandstorm as some idiot(s) shot into it...

The equipment list is attached! We captured about half the competitors. A big thank you to those that were kind enough to submit info.

G Day

Unreal effort from the lads from the bush.
Another great follow up from the World F Open Team win in 2013.
Long way from down under but we can still mix it😜
Onya girls and boys😀

As Falconpilot wrote the conditions the last day at 1k were tough beyond compare. I fired 14 sighters before starting the first string at 1k and wished I had gotten to fire 24 before shooting the second string instead of only two. Even so if you were on the ball like David Gosnell, Emil, Shirza or King you could come up with a good score. That match separated the men from the boys!
