2025 Southwest Nationals

How about we needed to get the result finalized for the awards ceremony for the people that actually showed up for the match. Putting the results on the website for people not at the match is a lower priority than taking care of our shooters.

We are eating dinner for the first time in a week and getting to visit and socialize with the people we love that come to the match for the first time this week and get maybe more that 3 hours of sleep for the first time since last Monday.

The staff is exhausted.
Hey man… forget about the idiot responding negatively! Some folks are just plain all about themselves. I appreciate everything ya’ll do for the sport and plan to drive 26 hours next year if I can get in….

Thank you so much to all of the volunteers organizers and staff who run one of the best matches in the country. So many friendly and welcoming faces! Much much appreciated in donating your time away from your families to put on this event..!

Congratulations to Timmy V Open class and Keith Trapp FTR on bringing home the gold!! Well done!

Fixed it for you Johnny ;)

I want to say a huge Thank You to Matt and all the amazing volunteers there at Ben Avery, for putting on such a professional and well run match this past week. Bravo!
The whole week and every single relay/pit swap ran on time and like clockwork. (The fantastic street food tent, Nightforce swag table, Lapua/Berger Display trailer/giveaways were also great touches!).
This was my first time attending, and came down with a big group from Canada, wasn’t sure what to expect and it turned out to be such a professional and silky smooth run match, couldn’t have been run any better, imo. (especially with 400 people there! Very impressed. Already can’t wait to come back again next year!).
Another huge plus was how extremely friendly everyone was, especially the top shooters, who always had tons of time to chat and answer questions and share their thoughts.
I can totally understand why this tournament fills up and gets sold out so quickly now.

Lol. Might want to check your figures. How much does it cost to run a match this size?
That I do not know Matt...was just pointing out entry fee's in regards to another persons comment....I personally wouldn't want to do your job for any amount of money!

Also a HUGE congrats to my teammate, Robert Massingill on his 2nd place finish...talk about swimming in the deep end!!!! Awesome job especially considering the short amount of time he has been shooting. His young son Joshua finished in 9th overall I believe while his dad Robert Sr put on hell of a showing as well..awesome to see a family like this shooting together!!

As a first time competitor at SWN and Ben Avery and a frequent shooter at multiple ranges and matches around the US, Matt and the volunteers at SWN ran one of the smoothest matches with the best communication to the shooters of any match I have participated in. Even though it was an international match with the 100 target line almost full, it had the feel of a local club match with the friendliness and efficiency of the match personnel. Pit crew, block officers/ shuttle drivers, and the stat office registration team and process was top notch.

Thanks Jim. I was just giving you a little bit of a hard time. The entry fees are actually $200, and at most we can only take 360 shooters.

I think people would be shocked about how much it costs to run a match of this size. I am not familiar with all the costs, but there are so many things that cost money that no one thinks about. So the money goes out just as fast as it come in. Plus alot of money is given back to the competitors as awards. Just to get everyone thinking of items you wouldn't expect to cost alot of money or not even on their radar as an expense, the tables and chairs for the banquet and awards ceremony was $3,000.

Wow, it came down to 1 point in the 1k agg. That must have been a nail biter. Some good scores shot this past weekend.

Matt, great match as usual. Can you fix the link for the f open palm match? The link brings up a different result.
