A special thanks to Ted Torres, Mickey Brinkman, Kendal Comeaux and Josh Temple for helping with the line and pits. Thanks to Lisa Westfall and Tammy Stewart for handling the statistics. And to Gary Henry for the great pork for the sandwiches after the match on Saturday. And a big thank you to Jade Delcambre and Chris Hebert who donated some very nice plaques for 2nd and 3rd Place and well as for the Team Match on Friday.

53 folks decided they weren’t going to the let the threat of TS Karen dampen their shooting. We were able to get in 2 strings before the rains came on Saturday and shot all 3 strings on Sunday. So we had a 1000 point match, rather than a 1200 point match. Winds on both days made for some challenging shooting conditions, but you would not know it by the scores posted up.

In the Prone Division, Stacey Tamalinus took the overall win with a 995-58x. Stacey’s setup-

Congrats Brian, nobody works at it harder that you!! I am proud to be a part of Team TAC!!!

I'm trying to convince him he can hold his own at the big matches. He has some great natural abilities.

I agree, he called me an hour or so ago telling me of the match, I told him it was all him with his ability. He does have very high quality equipment, but it is the indian, not the arrow who takes home the Gold!! I am very proud Brian chose me, and am as proud for him as can be. He won a regional in Arkansas just before this match. He`s a great competitor.

Tim Clanch is my gunsmith and sponsor, he does some of the best work in the world!!!! He has taught me more about reloading than I ever thought I could learn, and still teaching me!!! I truly would not be where I am without this man! This win goes to team TAC! Rick one day i will put on my big boy overalls and headed out west and shoot! But for now I need a little more training and confidence!!

Also a big thanks to all the guys running the match!!! I know how hard it is putting on a match then sitting out and not shooting in it! From all the shooters we really thank y'all!!

The Berger SW LR Nationals are scheduled for 4-9 February at Ben Avery Shooting Complex in Phoenix, Arizona. I think 6-9 February is the Long Range event, preceded by a practice day and a 3X600. Come on out and see how you do. The worst that can happen is you'll have a great time, meet some of the best F-Class shooters in the U.S. and learn a few things. Nothing improves a competitor more than competing against the best. And, winning a Regional and State Championship is more than enough qualification. ;) [br]
Here's a link to Berger's event calendar. Click forward to February for the dates. No program up, yet. Check back later in the year, they'll have it. [br]

Great match as usual with fine shooting, super nice folks, and very nice prizes on the table. Thanks to all the guys and gals at Palo Alto for putting it on!

I agree with Steve that you will do very well. You are in your prime as a shooter and should make the most of it.

Congratulations on your win Brian, you held it together well.

Come out to Phoenix, it's a great match.

Palo Alto put on another great State match.

Enough can not be said about how those folks run a match. Best match out there bar none. And with almost $13,000 in door prizes, everyone went home a winner!

A sincere thanks to Rick Stuart and company, they know how to do it right and lead the pack. Super super nice folks to boot.

Congrats to the winners!

All I can say about Brian Bowling is, he must eat smokeless for breakfast! Good to see ya there Brian, great shoot'n!
