20 practical reamer

I have read the two post on this, But just wanted to make things clear, I know I'm not the sharpest pencil in the drawer,
Looking to put together a 20 practical bolt gun pac-nor 11 twist , My Smith doesn't have a reamer so I'm looking at supplying one, I would like to use lapua brass, so my question is what neck dimension should i be looking at for this reamer? Also, Freebore? Zero or ? shooting 32, 39 Sierra, Would there be a reamer print with the correct dimension I get from someone or copy from a site? Thanks Guys for you Patients

Well, this is the one Kevin Weaver developed (the creator) and what I have him use on my rifles. Zero freebore and 0.233" no turn neck, although with Lapua brass it is close. I'm sure others with have some to share.

You can rent or buy reamers from 4D reamer,if you rent,it's about $30 for a week

I think you need to clarify if your goal is to NOT trim the necks. because brand of brass doesn't matter if you are trimming. the print posted by Jebb is the same as my reamer

ARGGHHH, Lapua brass, specific neck size???? You mean the .20 Complicated. It's called the .20 practical for a reason, i.e cheap range brass, ball powder and regular primers but if you insist:

My Lapua brass (loaded) measures .228 with a skim cut on the necks. as hog says they are very simple. I currently load for five and are my favorite cartridge right now.

Lapua brass has a little thicker necks than many other brands of brass and I think that .233 neck is maybe more for using Remington brass. Seems most everyone wants a .235 neck dia. if you are necking down Lapua brass.

My most recent .20 cal is my 20-222 and I'm using necked down Lapua 222 brass and my reamer has a .235 neck. With a fired piece of brass, I have a little less than 1 thou per side. I'm sure there is a certain amount of spring back so I'm sure I have plenty of clearance, but I'm not sure I'd want a neck with anything smaller than .235

I'd have to go look at my reamer print to be 100% sure, but I think the neck diameter on my 20-250 is .236 and I use Lapua brass for that also. Just looked, my 20-250 has a .236 neck per the reamer print.

I'm using LC09 223 brass necked down, its .228 loaded and my neck chamber is .232. Use 223 LC brass and save yourself some money it's tough as h$$$.
Lapua is great but I dont think it's necessary for this application.

Pac Nor did my 11 twist for my 20 P. I went with their best barrel. It doesn't care which brass I use, it shoots great.

With the .20 Practical, I have three of them, thousand of rounds and you will gain ZERO with Lapua brass, neck turned or no neck turn. I have used over twenty different brands of brass, LC, PPU, Remington, Hornady, IMI, Winchester, Top Brass, PMC, Federal, Lapua, ad nauseum. Lapua in the 20P, from my experience, is a waste of money.

My reamer is .233 neck and .000 freebore. Remington loaded round is .228, Lapua .232.
