What’s the best powder so far?

Looks like Varget has been working well so far. I would definitely try some 100 series VV stuff as it burns quite a bit cooler 140 and 150 would do well I think

I did a 20 Gt for a customer with his Muellerworks blank. He is shooting the 55 Bergers at 3900 and the same charge of Varget (36.5 gr) shoots the 39 grain Sierra BK at 4200 FPS. This is not a hot load.

I assume you've been to Shot Show this year, any talk at the Hornady booth about a 20 cal ELD-VT?
If not has your customer with the 20 GT reported back how well the 55 Berger did at distant varmint shots?
Thinking mostly about 1k shots on pds and 'chucks here. TIA

I'm not a Shot Show guy.

I don't know anyone shooting pdogs and chucks at 1000 yards.

Seems like a lot of trouble and expense for a BC of .354, extremely limited production, double the bullet cost, and questionable expansion at distance.

Matt you know if anybody has opened up the tip on the 55 a touch and see how they have flown and expansion out there say 700 and beyond, might be interesting.
I know the 39 TNT is pretty devastating, accuracy would be the key on the 55 if the tip was opened up some.
I know on my hunting Bergers I make sure the tips are not plugged with compound.
