20 cal barrel options??

Looking to build a 20 VarTarg and am wondering about barrel options??

Walkabout/ LV type rifle with about a 22 inch tube- using most likely a Sako Vixen action.

Does anyone know where I can get a Ruger VT 204 barrel cheap so I can prototype this rifle without to much $$ invested??

Check the Australian Ruger importer through your local gun shop they had a heap of new ruger barrels they were selling cheep i dont know what calibres they have left but im sure they can get them they were anly a couple of hundred each.

WBill if you know the importers and their contact details I'll go straight to the importers and get them to tell my dealer instead of waiting for the dealer to do it.

How did you get on with your vartag - I'm doing the same on a sako a1 with a Pac-nor - any suggestions with powder typee to use? Thanks Murray

Still no joy cannot source a barrel yet.

I have everything ready to go except a barrel.

Does Madco make .20's......Would bet that by now their making them....? Your neck of the woods, so it would be easier to procure???
