If you have to close the bolt slowly to keep it from firing it is a long way from being safe.
If I am calling a match and your rifle goes off while closing the bolt you're done. Right then!

Jard's current Savage trigger comes with their own sear. So I would assume on any two ounce trigger that Jard produces that Savage's sear would be replaced.
