2 bee or not 2 bee. Ruger number one chambering.

I think you are smart to hit the easy button with a new caliber/barrel.
20/222 is a fun one as you already know. I think a 20 caliber #1 will be very cool.
I originally thought you wanted to utilize the original barrel and rechamber and stay 22 caliber.Glad to see you are making that #1 into what will undoubtedly be a great shooter.
I’m not always very clear in my posts. I appreciate your input though. My thoughts on using the original barrel are a guy might as well get a new barrel if your gonna go through the hassle although I understand the appeal of using the original barrel and just cutting a new chamber. I still have interest in a 218 Mashburn or 218 bee someday. I know they chambered the #1 in 218 bee, I’m hoping post #6 is the oddity and not the norm. If I find one I’ll probably buy it if it’s a decent price.

Might have just been a case of not knowing the various tricks to make a #1 shoot well. Not all shoot great "out of the box" but I have yet to find one that won't shoot pretty darned well with a little work along with the load development. There is the point about varying rim thicknesses causing accuracy problems, though. Have fun and keep us posted.
