1895 commemorative model 99 75th anniversay 308

Just purchased the rifle and need a scope mount on it. The rifle is tapped by savage .
Any recommendations for a mount and rings to fit it?
My gunsmith says he cant fit it. Just checking if there are commercial options out there.

I have one my grandpa gave me that has a scope on it. I haven't ever really looked to see what bases are on it. I've really only shot it once.

Contact Weaver. They are great with tech questions. They can send you a spec sheet listing every dimension and hole spacing available for their bases and you can match them up that way. If you do not want Weaver bases at least use the information to back-track the model number to other rifles so equipped and find bases for that rifle from whom ever you wish. I am betting those Model 99 bases are already on the shelf.

I have a redfield one piece that i will mail to you or go to tour local gunshop & get a weaver #14 & #19 bases & any weaver style ring will fit-----have a good one

That's why mine don't come out of the safe other than put some oil in the barrel once a year. And the fact that my grandpa gave it to me. I don't think he ever even shot it
