17 Fireball barrel length

thinking about a build chambered for the 17 Fireball. i came across a barrel that is 21” in length. i intended to have a 24” barrel on the rifle. i’d like to hear some opinions on the shorter barrel length.

You dont need that long of a barrel on a 17cal. Youre not gaining any velocity to speak of

H4198, RL7 ect are so fast and the bullet so light. You'll be fine.

 

[X Ring Accuracy]

Longer barrels for squeezing out velocity for slower burning powders. You will be fine.
