I have shot them in .260 and 6XC. They like to be shot hard and can be touchy on seating depth, but not so bad that you grow tired of fooling with them. They tend to shoot a bit high, 1-2 clicks on my mil/mil scopes out to 700, then they hold to data. That said, they are not consistent in performance as far as consistent group sizes go. If you just want to hit steel they are ok, for match shooting I believe there are better bullets.
I tried for 300 bullets to get the 140 gr RDF's to shoot in my 260. I tried everything you can think of but couldn't get repeatable acceptable results. I tried 130 gr Berger VLD's and had a stellar load after about 50 rounds of testing.
Same issue with wifes 260,I tried for 300 bullets to get the 140 gr RDF's to shoot in my 260. I tried everything you can think of but couldn't get repeatable acceptable results. I tried 130 gr Berger VLD's and had a stellar load after about 50 rounds of testing.
+ 1 on the Berger 130g AR Hybrids (not in a 260, in a 6.4x47), shoot consistently, easy to get seating depth that shoots, settled on load/ seating combo 30 rounds.Same issue with wifes 260,
I went to 130 ar hybrids shoots em great.
Tried 129 ablr
140 vld
140 amaz
Puzzling thing through the process was it shot factory nosler decent enough to hunt with.
Maybe I am the outlier, but I am on my second box of 6.5 140 RDF's and am happy with them. I don't have an issue with fliers. I did find them picky about seating depth. I am not running them hot. Have been using them for 600 yd F-Class with no issues. As has been said, there are a lot of shooters that have found issues with them (fliers).
