10mm pistol loads

For high velocity try BlueDot and Longshot. Depending on the gun and recoil spring (unless it's a revolver of course) impressive velocities can be obtained. Sneak up on what is max for your gun. I have been able to go above max charge with BlueDot. A stout load of either powder makes 10mm very fun to shoot.

I'm in the same boat, I have a jug and a box of 180 grain XTPs but I also have a 6" conversion barrel so once I start loading 10mm, I'm expecting to see 1,300+.

Anybody got a good stout load recipe for power pistol and 180gr plated bullets?
The word "plated" could be important. I take it that this is in reference to electro-plated copper on lead. I shoot many plated Berry bullets from .38 SPL, .357 Mag, & 45 Auto. I see on the Berry box that Berry has: "Max Velocity:1250 fps". Some of the suggested loads on this thread exceed 1250 fps. Is 1250 fps considered a max velocity for all plated bullets?. Do all Glock pistols have polygonal rifling?; would polygonal rifling cause bullet fouling issues similar to lead should the copper plate fail upon excessive velocities?

Just asking - seems like the experts on this thread could come up with suggestions.

Just tripped over this thread. My experience with plated bullets is that if they hold together the accuracy is exceptional. With my G20-6" aftermarket barrels or P220 5" when the velocity exceeds 1000FPS then plating starts to breakup and odd things happen. Shot a plastic jar, water filled, with one of the Berry 180 HPs. 30 yds. Adjusted hold and hit it on the third shot. The bullet print on the plastic was a perfect print of the bullet base. If I fired 10 shots of good velocity>1200FPS maybe 3 would be dead center POA and the other 7 could be 3 or 4 feet off POA.
Blue dot, Longshot and aa#9 get some of the best velocities Accuracy can vary with powder, primer bullet combination. My best load is Hornady 180grXTP, CCI LPP,and considerably over 11.0 grains of a very old lot of Bluedot close to 1300FPS.
My G20 fails to feed when loads produce over 700FPs KE. Slide speed is too fast for magazine movement of rounds.
There is a forum dedicated to 10mm firearms, oddly enough; 10mm-firearms.com

I would pass on stout loads with plated bullets.
berry my have a double plated, check it out.
sold both of my 10's they were fun, but I could not shoot
an entire match with one.
power pistol is a good choice, think I did well with acc#5.

You mean plated heads, right?
