10.5 vs 11.5 inch AR

It's not .that's what your paying a fortune for less noise and less blast for folks around you otherwise a brake is better

Again to each there own

Suppressors are the new fad I just choose to not follow fads.but I get it and I'm not a fudd get what you like its Merica
I'm sorry but I'm not understanding what you're getting at. What is a "brake" better at?

Ok. Other than recoil reduction, what is "everything" that you're taking about?
Hmm weigh less ,cost less, doesn't screw up harmonics of your load.

So a suppressor reduces sound and surrounding blast.im not sure why your so confused

I said it's Merica get what you like im just stating facts

While a brake is good, when it comes to predator hunting a suppressor is superior. First hand experience being able to shoot at multiple coyotes in one stand and they dont seem fazed at the noise like with out one. I shot a deer back in October. When i shot it 100 yards away my brother in law was watching 5 more walking in. When i shot they froze and just looked around. After about a minute he said they continued walking. With a brake i would bet those 5 would have ran off fast. If it was being shot from a bench, then id go break.

I feel like you're more mad that you can't afford a suppressor more so than you are convinced a muzzle brake is actually better.

Not necessarily argue. I'm just trying to understand what you're claiming. You can't just expect to come on here and say something is better at everything and then not be able to back it up. That might work on snipers hide, but here you're going to have to show some proof of what your claiming.

Get used to getting called out on what you say, and be prepared to back it up.

I think we should just get back to topic of what barrel size i mentioned what guys have and prefer
Yeah this guy is ridiculous.i mean it's a dang ar post about a pistol length barrel get a life.
Guy is trolling

Im just putting out practical side of it

Are you set on a 223/5.56 caliber? I run a 10.5" PSA barrel in 300 blackout and it still hits steel harder at 300 yards than my 16" 5.56 does when we shoot them side by side. Mine shoots, 125 tnt's, 150 gn interlocks fantastic! Just make sure your suppressor is rated for short barrels. Not all are!.

Yes im set on 223. I have a lifetime of brass and several thousand projectiles.

For 50 yards? 10.5" and your can. I would agree with @dantiff2 above and say to at least think about a 300 Blackout. At fifty yards I would shoot some heavies and go subsonic. Coyote won't know the difference. You can always download the .223 a bit to make it quieter. Again, coyote won't know the difference.

I will be sticking with the 223. Do not care to get more dies and brass, powder, and bullets. I dont know what the damage would be on the coyotes with it eather. While i dont keep pelts i also want a fast kill. In the thin coyotes i have here ive seen 6mm and larger calibers cut right through them and have a chance for runners. Seems like bullets dont expand fast enough. The smaller calibers seem to expand better at closer distance.

Okay, you likely won't see any difference at all between the two lengths that you have chosen. 223 was not designed for that short of a barrel and you'll be leaving a LOT on the table. I'm not even sure you'll get any bullet performance at the velocities that you will be getting. you'd have to shoot a super light bullet. 50 grain or higher will likely just pencil through the animal and not perform at all.
Dan

P.S. It's really easy to turn that 5.56 brass into 300 blackout!

It would be a 50gr bullet. I use them in 3 other rifles. One being another AR and two being bolt action.
