10/22 build questions

Im in the middle of a build, i have the Kidd receiver and pins, factory receiver parts, im ordering an 18 inch Kidd barrel, and a titan 10/22 stock for the kidd receiver...

Ill throw that all together asap, question is how much of a difference will completing the rigle will all kidd parts make? Trigger group, bolt, springs, etc etc?

Im sure ill fo it slowly, but should i be able to expect a decent shooting gun with the kidd barrel and receiver at least?

Sniper338,
With Titan and their Kidd rear anchor will be a great setup. I got a Kidd Supergrade 2 months ago. I had a Titan and a Kidd 2 stage on another gun. I got the supergrade barreled action with a bolt and guide rod. I move the trigger to the kidd, and put it into the Titan. You should have a very accurate gun. I shot 45 groups with Eley ammo and agg 0.3272" for all groups. See http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/eley-ammo.3916406/ I don't know how much difference the bolt would make, but the 2 stage Trigger makes hugh difference. Kidds 2 stage has a faster lock time, like a bolt gun. At nearly $300 it should the the best 10-22 trigger made, Well it is the best 10-22 trigger made. Buy the best and only cry once.

If those Ruger innards will run and run well within the relatively close confines of the Kidd receiver, and if they’ll deliver the rounds undamaged to the chamber of that Kidd barrel, then the build’s accuracy potential will depend largely on the quality of and how well the barrel will tolerate its diet, and on how well who’s doing the driving is able to deal with that below incredibly horrible factory Ruger trigger. All KIDD rocks …

Im going to get the kidd trigger assymbly down the road, it will be 100% kidd eventually. Just hope to run it with what i got while i buy a part here and there.

My factory trigger assymbly isnt horrible, i took it apart and doctored it up a while back, its tolerable for a while..

If yours will run with those Ruger innards, the first change I’d make is be rid of the OEM charging handle/guide rod/recoil spring and swap in Kidd’s. Kidd’s factory weight recoil spring will do fine.

For the 10/22™, I’ve been too long thoroughly spoiled rotten by a Kidd Two Stage, two Kidd Single Stages, two Kidd Trigger Kits for Ruger’s polymer housing, a DIY tweaked Volquartsen TG2000, and a DIY hybrid TI/PC/RT/Brimstone’s finest, so can’t and won’t put up with anything Ruger still as delivered.

My last 10/22 build used the OEM receiver group (polished inside of receiver with Scotchbright), Kidd single stage trigger, Kidd light weight (not ultra light weight) barrel and the Titan stock. It has worked out extremely well - satisfactory accuracy with bulk ammo and really good accuracy with the ammos it likes, and dead reliable.

I got my barrel in, and with yalls advice i got the kidd springs, guide rod and fluted stainless charging handle. I still lack the kidd trigger and kidd bolt.

Titan stock should be here this week.
