1 or 2 stage trigger?

I just had another Jewell go down and ordered a B & A trigger for my B A T HG. All they had in stock was a two stage, so I had it 2nd day air'd to me. To my suprise it didn't come with a trigger shoe and I don't have time to get one before I leave tonight. I am going to switch out another trigger from another gun for now to get me back up and running.

My question is.....for a bench gun, do you prefer 1 or 2 stage triggers? I can always send this back and wait for a single stage.

WHAT SAY YOU?

I have always run 2 stage in my sling guns, HP and SB, also air rifle. but on my bench/F rifle, im getting along fine with the single stage. the Sidhe is an amazing trigger!

A two stage trigger on a service rifle allows you to meet the required minimum trigger pull weigh with a heavy first stage and have a clean smooth breaking trigger in the second stage.

My M1 and M1-A's have triggers set up this way and the AR lower I used on service and match rifle uppers has one of the Jewel 2 stage triggers that is a very nice trigger IMHO.

Fred, at Sharp Shooter's Supply, installed one of his single stage Evolution triggers on a Savage single shot "target" action when they first came out and it breaks under 3 ounces like a skinny icicle and has 1800 rounds on it with no problems. That rifle is used for the club level 300 yd. F class matches our club holds.

Use what suits the discipline you shoot.
