  1. 223 24" best bullet to blow up P Dogs?

Nosler made varmint BT bullets 1st. The hunting BTs came much later and were packaged 50 per box. It was several yrs later when Hornady and Sierra jumped on the bandwagon. I know I was there.

If it is .473 if you asked me 6-8 yrs ago I would have said 22-250. My new fav is >22 BR

That is the way I remember it. Dimensionally different probably for a reason!
  5. Scope for 45-70

I've always used Leupold's 1.5-5X VARI X III on heavy recoiling guns like 45-70 and 375 H&H although I don't have them anymore. That was a good time in my life , but getting to old and decrepit to enjoy them. I've rolled several milk jugs full of water in my time though
  6. Scope for 45-70

    What he said!
  7. Henry AR-7…who has one?

A friend has one and I was amazed at how well it shot. That was probably before Henry was heard of but I don't remember any malfunctions. Gary
  8. Cure for Shooting Boredom :)

Buy a 57 or 657 in .41 Mag. I own both .357 and .44 mag but this is by FAR! favorite. Mine are a 6" light bbl and a 8 3/8 heavy. You'll be amazed by basically the same power at a LOT! less recoil. Please do not respond unless you have experienced both and actually have an opinion.Gary

  10. Remington 722 enthusiasts

That looks similar to the ,222 I was looking at. Its been a long time and it was a little higher than a 722 but the wood probably made it worth it. I still wish I had bought it. One of my many mistakes! VERY NICE GUN and the history is very cool. Gary
  11. Remington 722 enthusiasts

I MAY have seen one. He was selling it as such but I didn't go for it. It had exceptional wood in the stock but I had a pretty good eye on me that said it had been refinished. I still wish I'd have bought it.
  12. We The People Eagle

  14. What seems to be the best powder for 22br using 53gr. bullets?

I use LT 32- it has some room as to a full case 52 grain Berger accuracy is very good. I used to use a lot of H-322 and still have a couple of pounds but I really think the hype is right---it shoots a little better.
  15. EXP Primers

    I hope!!
  16. It's Ironic

He was the best President since Ronald Regan in my opinion. And for the die hard democrat's my next in line was JFK. I was only 9 years old when he was killed. Look back democrats and see the difference in your parties views since then. I didn't even like Donald Trump when he was elected. But...
  17. Reduced loads for 223 - using readily available pistol powders?

I remember Wiley Clapp who was a writer (I think) from Shooting Times Wrote an article titled MAGGB Make any gun go boom. His load was IMR 2400 10 grains. I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER TRIED IT But it might work for you. This was in the '70s or '80s kind of before the Lawyers took control. I know...
  18. Ball mic or tube mic for measuring case neck thickness when turning necks for BR?

Mine came from Sinclair. It is a Starrett on a stand and I don't see how anything could work better. It will also work with .17 cal stuff. I don't even shoot any competition, just seemed the best to me when I bought it probably 5-6 years ago. I don't see any advantage to any shown here. In my...
