6 BRA new and improved

I got my 6 BRA back a couple weeks ago after sending it off to Johnny over at Crimson Accuracy in Texas to tear out all the old bedding and have it rebedded in the new Manners PRS-1 that replaced the old MPA hybrid chassy, which I wasn't very fond of. He went through the whole rifle and fixed everything he found wrong. Thanks to the guys who recomended him. He does great work, quick turn around time, and communication was great.

I also picked up a Vortex Gen 3 Razor 6-36x 56 earlier this week to replace the Valdada Recon G2 5-30x56. The center dot was just to big in that Valdada to do any serious small precision work. The Razor is an amazing optic and the reticle is much better suited to small precision work with a very small center floating dot, plus I picked up an extra 6x on the top end which doesn't hurt either.

Loading up a batch of ammo right now with 108g ELDMs and H4895 to take it out tomorrow and get it zeroed back in. Hoping it shoots a bit better with the properly bedded Manners and Razor. Got an upcoming LR steel match May 9th that I'd like to get in on with it.

Do any of you know if this is normal? I've got 2 MDT 6 BR mags here, 12 rd on left, 10 rd on right, but the 12 rd has a raised follower and the 10 doesn't? Why would 1 have it and the other doesn't? Is that part of the design or is something off? Will it effect anything? I haven't shot the 12 rd mag yet so not sure how it feeds. The 10 rd feeds fine.

The 12 round was bought new in package. The 10 rd I bought used.

I'm pretty sure 6 BRs are only found in bolt actions. I've never seen a 6 BR in a semi auto anyway.

I’m betting the new 12 rd is a improvement to keep the case head from wanting to jump the spacer.

Just got back from the range. Put a quick 100 yard zero on it, then went straight to the 500 yard gong and fired a 3 shot group. Dialed up 9 MOA and put 3 shots right around 1.5" on steel just left of center. Average velocity today was 2844 over 9 shots fired. Took both magazines with me and they both fed great. Not sure why the 12 rd has the raised follower, but it didn't seem to hurt anything. So that is good.

First impressions of the Razor are it's a great scope, with great glass. Was fighting a little mirage this afternoon, but the Razor cut through it quite well. Was still able shoot on 36x and get a precise POA. The super small floating center dot makes precise aiming very easy. The Manners stock also feels a lot more at home than the MPA chassy.

I love the way this rifle has come along the last month.

I also fired 2 shots from my dad's Browning Abolt in 7mm Rem Mag with 165g Normas to make sure it was on for his bear hunt. Little high, so we brought it down 3 clicks and called it good.

Actually, the 12 round mag was the first offering from MDT with the 10rd coming later to be able to get sales in places that restrict magazine capacity to 10 rounds.
