I’m kind of surprised that H4350 works well in this cartridge. I would have figured it would be too bulky and slow. I guess I am always learning! Lol.I am. I missed that. My 22 BR barrels all maxed out about 1 grain lower: 32gn for 90SMK, 31gn for 95SMK. I need to check my notes but I was shooting the 95 at 2950 below max velocity and can push the 90 SMK up to just about 3100. All that to say you should see a lot more speed than you’re getting before maxing out. My first rounds down a new barrel are always disappointingly anemic, but speed comes right up as I work up the loads.
I’m excited to see where you get with it!
According to Hornady, 22 ARC like Lever and CFE223 much like 6 ARC. All fine and good if you aren’t after a temp stable loadI have a 6ARC and I love it, so naturally I am eyeballing this cartridge as well! Just out of curiosity, would this cartridge have a liking for Leverevolution too? Or would that be too fast?
I need to try 8308XBR in my 22ArcIME, LVR makes good speed but I have not found anything with it that excites me for accuracy...fwiw.
YeaIME, the 8208 is just the opposite of the LVR. Great accuracy but pressures out before making great speed. That's in both a 6 Grendel and a 22 ARC/Grendel. I don't recall trying the 6.5 in either yet.
My Craddock loves 80.5’s with N140 and 85.5’s with N540. Easy button!A small bit of data to add from range today.
18” Craddock RTR 1:7 AR. 70d 50RH 7SSE
Horn 2x brass .002 neck tension annealed every firing. BR4 primer, 80.5 Berger FB
31.0 Staball65 2736/14.1SD/5 shots
31.3 Staball65 2769/13.0SD/5 shots
31.6 Staball65 2799/11.7SD/5 shots
31.9 Staball65 2847/13.5SD/4 shots
Need to play with seating depth, and charges between 31.3 and 31.6 had similar POI and some accuracy potential. Still doing best on day/day is 80 ELDM and 29.3 CFE223 at 2830/7.1SD
More, as able.
That’s pretty decent speed for an 18”A small bit of data to add from range today.

What is your definition of "a temp stable load"?According to Hornady, 22 ARC like Lever and CFE223 much like 6 ARC. All fine and good if you aren’t after a temp stable load
Have you tried H4895 or ARComp? These two powders are doppelgängers… on target and through chrono they perform like identical twins but are actually two totally different powders. They do great with heavies without pressure issues. In the Grendel they are 3rd fastest powder behind LeverEvolution and CFE223. I found these two powders to be more consistent and accurate.IME, LVR makes good speed but I have not found anything with it that excites me for accuracy...fwiw.
No to both in the 22 yet, but I only shoot light bullets from the 22. I have had good results with h4895 in a 6 Grendel with 80'sHave you tried H4895 or ARComp?
