Tell us a little more. Sako made a sporter version that’s a repeater and a couple target versions that are bull barrel single shots. The sporter is the harder one to find but they range from about what Josh said. If it’s mint condition maybe a bit more to the right buyer. If it’s the sporter they go for a bit more, they also offered the sporter version in their deluxe.

I have the sporter version in 6PPC and 22PPC, factory originals, two of my favorite rifles. You might want to play around with a bit before you sell it. They are neat rifles, typically very accurate too.

I absolutely stole a single shot heavy barrel 6ppc Sako with a Leupold vx3 unfired last summer for under $1000. There is several different models and some pretty serious sako collectors that with pay more than you'd think.

I had 3 A1's in heavy barrel. One would shoot with s custom. One was pretty good and one was disappointing. Nice rifles. I sold the disappointing one 20 years ago for 1800.00. Guy loved it, called me a year later, thanked me for selling it to him. Best groundhogs gun he ever owned. One was a 2 digit serial number, the other two were very low 3 digit numbers. Friend had a sporter that was super accurate.

It is the target model with the bull barrel, single shot. The wood is average walnut. It is unfired. Our shop got it in from an estate. We also have a 308 bull barrel repeater in the box, unfired. I was at a local gun show this morning. There was a Sako 75 laminate HB STLS with set trigger in 6 PPC NIB. Asking was $2750.
I wonder if it'll sell.

That's what I thought.
That being said..When was the last time you saw one NIB ?

I have one of these rifles also. In fact I have two. A model 75 and a model A1 6mm PPC USA. I was also wondering about this brass and judging by the measurements I got by getting the neck thickness of the Alpha brass on sites such as this one it would be too tight. I believe the Alpha brass has an average neck thickness of .014. Doing the math then a loaded round would be.271 which is the neck size of the chamber. I believe you would have to turn the necks to get the proper clearance.
I use the Norma brass which have a loaded neck diameter .267 which gives good clearance in the .271 Sako chamber.
