Any love for 9mm revolvers?

Im not seeing the point, but I own everything else that shoots 9mm.

The 8 rd moon clip seems ... efficient.

Im guessing the trigger in single action would break pretty clean.

Any other upsides ?

I have a big S&W revolver that is a 9mm and uses moon clips. Only grabbed it because it was dirt cheap. I think I've taken it to the range 3 times. It works, but that's about it.

almost bought a smith 9mm revolver because i had 10 gallons of brass but i have a M-25 and thats enough loading moon clips for this old man

Not very accurate?
Well I don't think mine was put together by Smith OR Wesson, but instead some guy named bubba. I mostly checked it for function, and it functioned; never tried to attain accuracy. :) It definitely isn’t ’stock from the factory’.

... like a great way for the lack of a 5¢ piece of shitmetal to render a perfectly good firearm into a brickbat.

No doubt invented by the same people who decided a Jaguar V12 requires 48 carburetors to be synched.

I have two of the 929s. One of my most used revolvers. I am using TK moonclips and BMT moonclip loaders.

They are somewhat heavy so they suck up recoil well. I mainly shoot bullets >147gns.

Both mine have been converted to DAO, but the SA triggers are typical S&W. Really nice and clean, down around 2-2.5 lbs.

My 929s get used a lot more than my 627s which is the 38/357 version. The 9mm moonclips are much thicker than the 38/357 moons.

I bet that I have shot over 50-60K (most likely more) rounds through them in the past 12-13 years.

I would have liked an 8 shot with a 4-5 inch barrel, just because.

I am not 100% sure, but Smith may have discontinued the 929s to make room in the line up for another version.

I have zero complaints.

an answer to a question nobody asked. 9mms seem to not be very accurate as a whole.
Try, the 9 MM, in a Glock model, 34 with, the Marksman Barrel,.. it's Eye Opening, Accuracy with, the Hornady 124's JHP's at 1,100+ fps.
I also Have, a S & W M-14, .38 spl., 6", that shoot's, the Horn 125's at, +P Velocities, pretty Small ( $50 cent sized,.. 6 shot group's at, 25 yds, "Rested" )
I see NO reason for, a 9 MM in a "Revolver" unless, somebody GIVES you One as, the .38 Spl., ( W/ Rimmed Case ) get's it, Done !
For close range, "Self Protection carry",.. the GLOCK, M-19, IS, plenty,.. Accurate enough !
I think it's STILL,.. America's Favorite,.. "Spray and Pray", 15 shot, Pistol

I shot my S&W 940 yesterday. Close range pistola for sure. Fun to shoot.

Uses 5 shot full moon clips, easier to use than a speed loader in a J frame.

Like two other posters on this thread I have a .357 Ruger Blackhawk that came with the 9mm cylinder, not sure where the .357 cylinder even is anymore. If I want to shoot .357 and I don’t I have a couple 686’s and a Gp100. I really like shooting the old Blackhawk 9mm

Been using my customized 929 DAO in steel challenge for a long time and it's a pleasure to shoot.
I'm in the process of having the barrel shortened to make it lighter so I can get on target and transition quicker.
Looked at getting a Korth, but after trying one I didn't see the extra $$ giving me more than what my 929 is already giving me.
