I know this is an aged thread but I figured that I'd throw this in incase anyone was searching for a new CZ 457 Varmint MTR. I purchased the CZ 457 Varmint MTR in Nov of 2025 from Bass Pro using the price match plus 5% more off policy, and the additional 10% off Club Member Mondays available if you have a BassPro/Cabelas CC. Midway has the rifle at $859.99 pretty regularly, so BassPro matched that plus an additional 5% off for the price match and then another 10% off for the Club Member Monday Discount, giving me an out the door price of $735.29. And importantly, there were no shipping fees and no FFL transfer fees. Still had to pay the damn sales tax, but it was the absolute lowest "out the door and into my grubby hands" price that I have found on this rifle.

I thought about getting another 22rf. But I went so far down that rabbit hole. It was alot of work. And **ALOT** of money. Def more than centerfire br.

Started with a 455. Then a 457. Put it in a BTR stock. Upgraded to my first Vudoo, in a pillar bedded stock. Then a second Vudoo in a full chassis. Honestly, I cant remember all the specs. Well over $10k invested.

I wish those who go down the rimfire rabbit hole both peace and prosperity.
