Tippman Arms .22

I am looking for some accuracy feedback on the above mentioned rifle. I want something with a 16” barrel semi auto that I can take in the truck or side by side without worrying about the finish much. I would like to be able to shoot starlings, sparrows, rabbits and squirrels out to hundred yards with a good optic. I don’t need extreme precision but an 1” or so at a 100 yards would be nice. I plan to put a suppressor on it and shoot subsonic ammo. Likely CCI SV. I was just wondering if anyone else has had first hand experience. Thanks

Real world 1 inch at 100...? That's a big ask with any semi auto unless you are very lucky. CCI shooting 1 inch is also unlikely to happen.

That’s what I am wondering. I have some expensive ammo but I was wondering how these do with cheaper stuff. Is 2” at a hundred yards doable?

I do not often shoot my 10/22s at 100, never with inexpensive ammunition, so I am really not the guy to ask. I have a couple of 10/22s that I think would shoot around MOA, perhaps better. But... I shoot high end ammo and my rifles are definitely not budget builds.

Lots of guys over at Rimfire Central in the 10/22 Forum live and breath 10/22s and are happy to share...

I'm thinking about a Tippmann M4 Elite Hunter for this falls rifle purchase. It is the 18" version. I want the extra bit of accuracy for longer ranges, 200 yard Appleseed Known Distance for one. I've heard good reports on Rimfire Central and other sources. Good luck in your decisions.

I have thought about looking into the 10/22 but I liked the Tippman Arms for the aluminum and synthetic so I don’t need to worry about scratching it. I am curious what people are getting for real world accuracy with the Tippman. Good or bad

Subsonic 22 lr at a 100yds is very susceptable to wind, so you should be a good wind reader. And it doesn’t arrive with much zip. I have a Bergara copy of the 10/22 that does 1 1/2” at a hundred pretty regularly with Norma TAC, but I haven’t tried it with a good scope yet.. Tippmans shoot pretty good (my brother has a Tippman pistol). If I was doing what you want to do accuracy and game wise, I’d go for a 16” Tikka T1X in 17hmr with a suppressor. It will smoke them.
