Maybe I missed something, but as I read it the manual says a -E error means the scale needs recalibration. Without recalibrating I can put a 100 g checkweight on the scale and it reads fine. Seems to me that it's OK. Cycling the on/off button does clear the -E error and the scale is still in calibration. I am not sure just what the -E error means, because it doesn't seem to be a recalibration squawk.

If you get the E change to the Weight of the Entry Cup , Then every time you will see that Weight !
I think that proves no drift .
- E stands for Error.
I have checked loads with the -E not removed and found 1-3 Grain different readings.

I’m using a SS 1/8 cup measuring cup for powder. Suppose that has any impact?

Cleaning with alcohol or acetone will get rid of any oils, sure, but wiping the surface of the cup, particularly the glass cup with plastic handle (good insulators), will impart some static back into it. Your stainless cup is actually a good way to dissipate static since it's inherently conductive, but that charge needs somewhere to go - like a grounding wire.
Once you have your cup clean, add some Imperial dry neck lube, or powdered graphite and roll it around inside the cup. I had to do this several times when mine was new to keep the last kernel or two from clinging to the side of the cup due to static. This is problem that hits you twice; one, your full charge doesn't make it to the case. Two, you have powder left in the cup and it won't return to zero on the display. If you ignore it and rezero the balance, the problem perpetuates, but in both directions; sometimes it all goes in, sometimes it doesn't.
Now that I have it "conditioned", the graphite in the powder maintains it.

you need a good base, chunk of scrap counter top will work, and at most places is free. I put a rubber mat under the counter top. you can get fancy and get a granite plate and anti static mat. you also need a line regulator, and a ground also helps. since i did this, no problems, dont even have to calibrate each time. turn it on and go. comes to zero, and pan weighs the same. tech support also told me that plugged in is warmed up. you have to clean the powder pan once in awhile, it will build up with residue and you will see it.

The E-message typically only shows up when the balance detects too low of a “weighing pan” weight. For example mine will do this if I shut the power off with a powder cup on the platform. Then if I power it up (it automatically starts at zero) and take the powder cup off, I’ll sometimes get the E-message. All I have to do in that case is set the cup back on to get a zero (E-message goes away), shut the power off, remove the powder cup, then power it on again. Viola… E-message gone, even if I re-zero with the powder cup on, and then remove it. Odd phenomenon but it’s part of the deal. If for some reason that doesn’t work you can simply recalibrate the balance and the E-message will go away.
