Varget contaminated with Trail Boss?

I am seeing reports in other forums of a lot of 8.8 pound jugs of Varget which have a small amount of white donuts which appears to be Trail Boss powder. I believe it is reported as lot MEM 7792. Anyone here have any issues like this ?

go to walmart and get a SS mesh collider strainer. The holes are large enough for some types of ball to fall through but not varget.

I have seen several people try this and has worked each time

And of course, if you have lots of patience, a pair of tweezers, you have something to wile away long Winter evenings…
Joking aside, I would be returning the powder to whomever sold it…

QC at either ADI or Hodgdon must have been off for the holidays. I made that mistake once about 35 years ago but no more. Only one powder at a time on my bench now

I agree with Tooley you should let Hodgdon know about it. This isn't the place to discuss whether it's safe or not.

The upside is that Hodgdon costs 300% of what it's worth. So we're good!

I was the first to report it to Hodgdon, or so it seems based on the response I got when I contacted them last week. They contacted me today, no explanation on cause, they're sending a replacement and said to dispose of the contaminated jug.
