I use My 6BR version on My 6BRAI'm thinking of trying a Lee collet die for my 6BRA. They don't offer it though.
So, my question is, could I use a Dasher or 6BR version?
If you’re a long-time user of Lee Collet Neck Sizing Die you may notice we have modified the Collet so a small portion of the neck protrudes through the end of the Collet-Sizing portion. This often-requested modification was implemented in 2019.
This change allows the portion of the neck that protrudes above the Collet to remain in its fire formed condition. This provides a natural flare to the case neck allowing easy and concentric seating of bullets. This is especially important when seating cast bullets or low drag coated bullets.
Noted author and cartridge designer M. L. McPherson has suggested this modification for years for its ease of use, better function and improved accuracy
In the past, when I used collet dies a lot, I would adjust the die down a little at a time from first contact of the sleeve with the shell holder until I felt a slight toggling using my Rock Chucker. This is press specific since some presses are apparently set up so that the ram backs down a bit at the end of the stroke. If you want more neck tension with a collet die, you can sand the mandrel down a bit or order a smaller mandrel from Lee. I have done the former working carefully using a corded drill, folding some 320 grit wet and dry around the mandrel. For unturned necks, the combination of a properly adjusted body die and collet die does a very good job.243 Win- Takes 25 lbs pressure (measured) on my Rockchucker handle to size the neck enough to hold a bullet. Using Lee instructions. There are other methods, that may work better?
To much "exercise" for me.

I did it that way for a long time with a 357 Herrett. For some reason that escapes me now I got a barrel and only had a seating die so used a 35 Rem LCD to size the half the neck, it worked fine for a long time until picking up a FL die.I have sized .222 cases in my .223 die. It sizes about half the neck which is fine by me!
Hip
This is what I did with a Lee 303 Brit neck sizing die. The mandrel came .308, I took it down to .3065-ish. Before sanding the mandrel, you could push a bullet into the sized neck with your fingers. I'm also using a rock chucker. In the past, when I used collet dies a lot, I would adjust the die down a little at a time from first contact of the sleeve with the shell holder until I felt a slight toggling using my Rock Chucker. One thing to be aware of concerning the Lee 6mm PPC collet die, the part number and UPC for that discontinued die has been recycled (reused) by Lee; the identifiers now refer to an Auto Breach Lock Pro Shell Plate #14. I found this out the hard way, I ordered a die figuring it was New-Old-Stock (NOS), I got a shell holder instead. The dealer is refunding the purchase. According to the dealer this has been going on for some time. Unfortunately the stock pictures used in online ads may indicate the incorrect product.Keep your eye out for a 6PPC die on eBay. They are discontinued but you see them from time to time. I bought one specifically to neck size 6BRA cases to send in to Harrell Precision with a die order. The die will work for PPC, BR and BRA.
Can you provide a closer photo of the case? This is my opinion of the Lee Collet Die. CRAP!
I sized 6 new Lapua brass - all OK - but this happened to the 7th.
Also the mandrel was over size.
