Has anyone ever had Lee make a Collet die in 6BR?

Did you send LEE pieces of brass or just give them the diameter mandrel you wanted?

Yes. I sent in two pieces of fired brass and one bullet. Also ordered an additional .001 under mandrel. The sizer is great! The seater-not so much. The aluminum plug is hard to adjust precisely.

Lee has made several custom dies for me. The price and delivery time was great.

Sent 2 fired cases each time and went with the standard mandrel.

Lee makes a 6PPC Collet and it will usually work for the 6BR. If it does touch the shoulder and change dimensions, just use a .01 spacer.

However, I have heard only good things about Lee Custom service. I am going to have one made for my 6x47L.

i use this method and it works great. i use a .025" shim sitting on top of the shellholder. however, I believe Lee has stopped making the 6PPC dies, so you would have to find a used one or order a custom die from Lee.

I have been using a custom LEE collet die since I started shooting a 6BRX for long range BR. Haven't looked back!
