Excuse my ignorance,..Just a quick question.
I just purchased a brand new un-used 30-06 sarengetti , German salazar reamer..


Question,. Can I still use normal 30-06 reloading dies?...

Or will I need custom dies?

I have one chambered with that reamer, and all I’ve used are standard dies.

Same here. I use Lee dies and the rifle shoots amazing.

I was hoping that was the case, since I already have a set.

I had never heard of this chambering my self.
Anything I should be aware of?

I have a Lilja 3g 10 twist in a MK13 profile. With 180-185 grain projectiles it’ll hammer. I pull it out every now and then and try something different, but have never dropped below 175 grain nor over 185. I’ve found it a bit easier to tune than a good many other 30-06 I’ve had through the years, but I can’t specifically attribute it to the chamber or barrel. I use Lapua brass primarily. It’s almost always an easy one to find in stock.

My customer 30/06 has the German Salazar chamber. He gave me the reamer number. It shoots 178 grain A Maxes great.

Here is what is on the reamer shank.

I use a Redding Competition S-Die, ( full length), and Seater

You won't have any issues with standard commercial dies.

Normal .30/06 dies are fine. I have two .30/06 barrels with this chamber cut.
