70 nosler on top of 8208, I shoot it in a 1-9, have shot it in my 1-8, 1-12 also. I would go 1-8, BR in 8 twist will shoot big range of bullets really good!

well that's true BC doesn't mean much in a hunting situation.

Yeah but weather or not it shoots good, he didn't specify. There's no doubt some powder out ther could get it to 3300.
that's just an opinion though. I wouldn't want to try it.

every rifle is different so just increase powder charge a little at a time and see we're it takes you accuracy is your end goal.

Urbanrifleman 6br 8 twist. 32 Varget 80 ELDVT. Around 3100. Getting close to pressure. Shot better and better the more powder. Going to keep going up.

I checked my load workups for burger '80s in 6 BR Ackley of which I did a whole bunch of shooting In the 8 twist. AR comp and 31.7 was the most accurate node up to 32 and the speed was just under 3200 ft per second

80 Bergers.

I would be shocked if the 80 ELDVT has more bearing surface than an 80 Berger. 80 Bergers shoot insane good in the 12 twist.

I think I have decided I am going to make myself a 30 inch 6bra 8 twist and shoot some varmint bullets to see what they do.

I just ordered some 80 ELDVT. $25 per 100. Not bad.

I'm going to make up a barrel and shoot them against the Berger 80.

I know they won't shoot like Bergers. But I will have a baseline.

The barrel is made and installed. I have not shot one of these long blanks yet. In fact, no one has...

I like the 88gr Berger Varmint bullet with an 8 twist in my 6BR.
32 g Varget, 3090 fps ( on a new barrel)

going to use the rifle for coyotes want to shoot bullets 70 to 80 grains what twist of barrel would you guys suggest. maybe powder & load also this will be a winter project.

My load in a 14 tw. 6BR is 58 VM @3855 and a 55 BK @ 3920, both very accurate. I dont hunt coyotes, my kills have all been targets of opportunity with a 22-250AI, But I've no doubt these 6mm loads going fast would be very effective on coyotes.
