Twist Rate Stability Calculator Updated
We’re happy to announce a major upgrade to our Twist Rate Stability Calculator which is available for free on the Berger Bullets webpage. The old stability calculator was pretty basic, and would simply return a gyroscopic stability number based on your bullet, twist rate and atmospheric conditions.bergerbullets.com
“Conservative” crazy??I think that calculator spits out some crazy numbers.
“Conservative” crazy??
I haven't played with the calculator for quite a few years now but it used to be overly optimistic on their bullet lengths if you just used the library. I found that bullets I had on hand were significantly shorter and when I put in my own measurements, things were a little more forgiving. Also, I'm pretty sure that the numbers only work with hollow point bullets. Tipped bullets need a different calculator unless things have changed on that front.I think that calculator spits out some crazy numbers.
