Good day at the range

Sunny, 70 degrees and just enough air moving so you could clearly see the mirage. Days like this are pretty rare in my part of Fly Over Country. Juggled front bags around with the HV gun, played musical scopes with the Hunter gun until I was happy and wondered again why it took me so long to start cleaning with the Accelerator/Wipeout combo.

Not in my experience. It's great stuff and all I use. 1st the Excellorator to remove loose fouling, then the WipeOut. I use it generously, let it sit for a few hours, then dry patch it out. It removes enough carbon to prevent a hard build up, but won't remove a build up if you already have it.

The directions say accelerator first, then wo/po. I use it that way as well. They also make a separate carbon remover.

I have resisted getting a bore scope so can't say how well any of them work. I do know they do a good job of removing the copper.

Al, ya otta had listened to BIG MIKE sooner . . . sometimes he knows stuff that he learned when someone felt sorry for him . . . The Accellerator and WipeOut (either PatchOut, or foam) *cannot be mixed in one container: they combine to produce a chemical reaction which dissolves/removes the crap! Alone, the WipeOut/Patchout are very slow working - to make quick work of the crud, the Accellerator is needed. RG

P.S. *I suppose they could be mixed into a single container, but the reaction may prove troublesome.

Yes....BIG MIKE has never steered me wrong.

The Accelerator has a kind of citrus-ish odor and doesn't stink up the basement of my sod hut. Good stuff...thank B.M. again for the tip. -Al

Well Duh...Professor. I don't know it all, but
at the top of the bottle of wo/po on the back, if you can find it, THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY, for use it may be used 3 ways: INSTRUCTION #2 says: As a pre-clean wet patch BEFORE APPLICATION OF ACCELERATOR.

I run a couple of wet patches thru to get rid of the easy carbon, then brush with wo/po before using accelerator. Use it however you want. Maybe some day I'll know it all.

Now if you have problems interpreting those instructions, maybe your Grandkids can help you.
