Try rotating the joystick/counterweight a couple of turns when setting up.

Hello Wes, My deepest apologies but there's been some production hiccups and the estimated completion date would have to be pushed back to late May or even June. The side plates just weren't good enough and I still have to fix them before they are ready for shipping. I thank you for your patience and I hope the finished top would be worth the wait.
Just ordered my AR250 yesterday and DHL has it and in transit. Claims delivery Thursday the 15th. Thanks Chris for the quick order turn around. Can't wait to give her a test drive. A fellow club member showed me his last week and I instantly feel in love with how smooth the coax is. I have a Shadetree and in that its a decent rest it does have some travel limitations and is a bit grainy when moving the stick. I may save it for my Grand Daughter who is very interested in shooting.

So I know a lot of folks use the Pelican 1507 for this AR250 rest.
I really do not have the Pelican budget but I have come across a few cases that
meet the length/width requirements but both are just shy of 8 inch in height internally.
The Pelican rings in around 8.5 inches.
I have searched high and low for this measurement and I just cannot find it.
Knowing it is adjustable does anyone know what the height of the rest at it lowest setting with
the ears up, is?

With the leveling screws flush to the bottom, it's about 7.6 inches. You can release the lock on the elevation wheel and lift off the center support to fit it into a container.
Solid boxes are nice, but heavy and we always carry more equipment than the front rest. We use a Klein Tools MODbox Rolling Tool Box. It works great, and the rest is ready to go, just left it out onto the bench.
Before Klien box I used small tool bags to carry rests. I put a sheet of paneling in the bottom to protect he bag from the leveling screw points. I got the bags with a DeWalt battery tools.

Yea I have looked at several options and in fact have a case I carry the Shadetree in, I'm sure if I remove the center column I can use the same case. Heck I have a Smith n Wesson Officers range bag that it would likely fit well inside of but I normally have all of my shooting stuff in there along with my rear bag.

I ordered it Friday at 730am EST. Maybe 3-1/2 days from order to receive...WOW
I slapped her together mounted gun and calibrated it and she is so smooth...
I will pop up some pics up tomorrow, we just got back from my Grandsons graduation.
I do have but 2 questions...
1: When traversing the movement at the lowest level there is a notch dead center, I assume this is normal?
2: I have read through this and I just want to confirm if the "twist to snug" handle and counter balance pin is newer version or older version? DISREGARD FOUND MY ANSWER

Got an opportunity to take the AR250 out for a spin.
At the same time I wanted to test a new lot of Tenex so it all worked out.
I didnt clean cards but I will say getting on target was much much easier than it was with the Shadetree.
I'm well please with the horizontal and vertical coverage. Once I set my area I didnt have to touch anything once I began to shoot, that in itself is a winner.
I decided to use the case I was using for the Shadetree and to my surprise I had very little alterations once I decided how to place it in there. I 3d printed a few clips to hold the handle and some feet to set the rest into to eliminate movement. I even had plenty of room for my rear bag.
Isn't professional looking but it is functional. The foam on the lid helps secure the rest and bag.
I decided also to rotate and shoot the rest with the single leg facing target. Seems to be very steady in this position.

No Sir, I leave it intact and have a piece of foam under it to help.

There is a small notch in the middle of the sliding blocks but it's only a marking for my assembly process, there should be no effect to your shooting whatsoever.
I have updated my joystick and counterweight design to use a counternut system so it's easier to tighten and remove as opposed to my first batch where there is a locking bolt.
That stopper thread is a metric M8 thread
