No.
Unless he paid with CC he can likely forget about his money too.
I'm seeing several who have posted here and on other forums that they had paid, in full and in advance, for a Vudoo rifle that they haven't received. It makes me wonder just how deep that problem is.

Copied and pasted from RFC. Second hand info supposedly from a guy who worked at VGW

"The real story... About a year ago we get bought out by Nomad Capitol who knows nothing about guns. They hire Jacob Herman to run the company. He's an arms dealer who knows nothing about running a production facility. He fires the original owners (Paul and Jill Parrot) who were supposed to stay on to run it. He's mostly absent, shows up a few days a month. Takes him about 9 months to ruin the company. Stopped paying vendors about 2 months ago. Comes in two weeks ago and says Vudoo is done....everyone pack your stuff and leave. A few days ago I hear he bought the company and is moving it to OK. No one is going with him. The Vudoo everyone knows is dead. All shady as heck. You're welcome to share this on forums...without my name."

They're sure is still up. ? I feel for the ppl screwed up with this.

There is no one left to answer the phone or email. Believe me, as I have had two emails in the last three weeks go totally ignored and they do not answer the phone.
According to what @ljmontano posted (as seen on FB and other forums) it now appears that VGW is no longer even a Utah based company. Plus, I understand there are several VGW vendors that are unpaid so any customer that paid in full and didn't get their order will be in line behind the corporate lawyers.

If his cc company won’t take back the payment I suspect his only option is small claims in Utah.

I hope for their sake they have better intentions than appear. If I were to sell something I know I don’t have, and/or realized that I never will, I could not offer the money back fast enough, with apologies. I wouldn’t wait to be called.

A “civil” wrong is the nicer of “two ways” such a transaction could be construed. I’d remind any client in this position about the elements of fraud, and have them describe to me in their words what this transaction looked like from the other side, compared to what transpired.

They’d leave prepared offer refunds, or they’d be leaving for good.

You are assuming they still have the money - I can assure you they don't. It either got used to pay bills for previous builds (to eyck out a few more months) or it went into someone's pocket before they pulled the plug.

Tell him to issue a chargeback with his CC now.

Even if you take the one and only post in the FB group as true, I would still expect that it's the name only that is moving and the quality of the goods received will be questionable at first (maybe forever).

There is a lot of info coming to light about Vudoo... maybe the manufacturer of the actions will keep up the good quality and keep providing good actions to the "new" business, but I'd want to see what (if anything) comes from the new shop before I bought one.

This is all the customers’ concern, but the way I see it, Vudoo’s sellers that conveniently, and quietly stayed on, and the buyer better prepare to disgorge these peoples’ payments down to selling their fillings and firstborns, or tap some of that black magic to conjure up the guns that are owed.

One thing to try and find out is what kind of a sale was it. If the guy had the company set up as a corporation with stock, AND, the buyer bought the stock then all assets and liabilities go with the new owner. If he didn't and it was just a sale of assets then liabilities do not go with the new owner. At least that's the way I understand it.

Hey, I get it and agree! But having lived in the "real" business world for a very long time, I can tell there is no way that is ever going to happen. Maybe, had the previous owners still been running things, where they had their integrity involved. But not after the "money" guys took over.

I hope Vudoo reads these and responds. I don’t see this as similar to a barrel maker having to disburse an abandoned batch. These people aren’t in a business relationship. Not answering inquiries months after full payment?

As a retailer consisting of one or just a just few control individuals, obtaining large payments from “consumers” in many states, if it were me I sure wouldn’t roll the dice with the 25 AG’s that are democrats, but frankly I’d expect even more ire from red states.

We have to be able to trust the integrity of people who make and sell products in the weapons business. This interest revolves around containing tens of thousands of psi beside our faces. Honestly do what you say, every time, or kindly depart.

Didn't we used to have a Consumer Protection Agency?
Perhaps it’s time to revisit that time worn verse about getting “ blood out of a stone”.
if this , in fact, turns out to be them folding their tent, usually involving insolvency, you can call anybody you want and ultimately end up with a place in a long line of claimants.

That’s mighty apocalyptic talk sir! Hopefully we don’t see the second coming of “You know who”. I trust what MB has to say. I’m in the camp of 70/30 of someone I just mentioned in a comeback!

You do know they never machined their own components. I was a bit shocked to hear this, as all this time I envisioned CNC machines producing actions, bolts, etc. I don't think they even chambered barrels!
talking about disillusionment:eek:
