Report on Illegals Purchasing Vast Amounts of Ammo

With dozens of terror cells now inside the US(individuals allowed/brought in under Biden/Obama) they need large amounts of ammo for training/future attacks. Should be no surprise that increased border security would necessitate the purchase/theft of ammo in country.
Theft was a good point to make on this subject.

I'm thinking illegal Immigrant's shouldn't be able to purchase any ammo in the USA. It makes we wonder if it's being purchased by a U.S. Citizen for the Cartel and being transported by Cartel minions. ????????

EDIT - Corrected change to read illegal immigrants.
So, what do you propose that wouldn't infringe on the rights of law abiding American Citizens? What about mail order, or ordering over the web? When I order , I order over the web. Granted, I'm ordering from a wholesaler who has my FFL and tax info. But what about those large quantity orders from MidWay, or SGAmmo? Anyone with a credit card can order from them. Are you promoting the idea that an American Citizen prove they are a Citizen (or an immigrant that is in the country legally) before They can buy ammo? I don't know about you, but I'm pretty careful with my personal information. Over the past 14 months I've had my business card replaced 3 times, because it had been compromised. And I only use that card for business. I don't even like showing the college kid at the grocery my ID when I buy a 6 pack! As gray and bald headed as I am it should obvious I'm over 21!

Why can’t they just let them roll on and put a tracking device on the vehicle. Might actually learn something that way.
SADLY,.. there are VERY Few, in Upper, Law Enforcement, TODAY that, are able to,.. "Think, Outside the Box" !
This AIN'T,.. the 1950's,.. When, the FBI did MORE than,.. just,.. Hunt Down,.. Trump "Groupies" !
Our Congress, IS also, Full of, Low IQ,.. Dummies !
YES,.. Tracking Devices or, Drones, SHOULD have Been Used to, find out, WHERE, the Fk, this Chit, WAS,.. "Going" !

In the 2 incidents that I read about, both large purchases of ammunition was picked up by Mexican citizens that didn't hardly speak English, that to me would be a GIANT RED Flag. Not an American citizen. I don't know how to answer your question. What would you Propose when 1 or 2 Mexican Citizens walk in to pick up a large Order of say 18,000 rounds. $16,000 sale. Would that be a RED Flag to You?

I have ordered on 2 occasions 1000 rounds of 9MM Bulk. and Cases of 22LR Target Ammo. Possibly when US citizens want to Order Case Lots of Ammo, they get some type of Fed ID number showing that they are a US Citizen and Approved for case lot purchases. I don't Know the answer....but 30,000 rounds purchased in a 30 day period is a Giant Red Flag. I'm sure that the Fed's are back tracking hopefully not a dead end. The sellers I'm sure are being looked at with a Fed's. Bureau of the BATF.

Hmmm. Thinking about it, could this be the cause of the ammo shortage a couple years ago? o_O

Possibly the Cartell's are stocking up Ammo for a war with each other and / or waring with the mexican government. I think that they just need to but it somewhere else! Out of the USA.

I don't know what the answer is, but I am not in favor pf another 'card' that says I am allowed to buy ammo. Soon, every citizen (almost) will have a "Real I.D.". proof of citizenship is required to get that. As it stands now, you need to 'prove' you are 21 to buy handgun ammo, and 18 to buy rifle/shotgun ammo. Neither requires proof of citizenship, just shows age. A farmer is required (in OK) to show "Agricultural Permit" to buy things for the farm with no tax and the seller needs to have a copy of that permit. A company buying for re-sale needs to supply the seller with a copy of his tax permit, neither show citizenship. A government issued and current I.D. is required to vote in any election in OK. That does show citizenship but no copy is kept by the voting official doing the checking (soon, as the "real i.d." gets phased in, it WILL show citizenship). As per current law, age is the only restriction when buying ammo. Would a 'questionable' transaction alert me? Yes. I have shut down several firearms sales/transactions because I was not comfortable with the transaction. Cost me $$$ every time. If I've had a question about age during an ammo sale, I have asked for I.D. to be certain. Maybe a sale of XXXX number of rounds in a transaction should require positive I.D. (Real I.D. or passport). Not up to me to "make the rules'. As it is, multiple handgun sale requires a report form. I still maintain any ammo purchase by a non-citizen or legal immigrant be rewarded with a one way trip to El Salvador. Make the punishment harsh enough, few would risk it. American Citizens are already burdened enough 'proving' they are who they say they are. I donknow, placing more record keeping and more reporting on the seller will increase prices.

How about we cut past the chase and go to where it was bought from. Very few if any local gun store is even capable of buying this much ammo without massive amounts of bells going off somewhere. At least there should be.
So how about looking at the records of those company's that can do that without raising red flags from, (hopefully) everybody who should be watching for this to happen. To say that this is just a sting gone wrong is 100% B.S. at this point since there is way to many of these reports at this time.

What does fit here very well is that our current president has stated more than once that he is very tired of all the crap coming over our southern border and it is time to change things in the country to our south. Anyone who has lived along our southern border has know this for many decades now.

I would suggest our members watch the movie "a clear and present danger" with Harrison Ford. This response to this matter is the one that would end this with the least amount American lives lost and would show our enemies in the other countries involved with this problem that they are indeed next in line for this type response.
There's a fair chance that the seller tipped LE off and the stop was made to look run of the mill?
