What straight wall cartridge?

Look at the Ruger/TC loads. A#9 is the powder I like.

I use that powder a lot in my bigger pistol loads, cartridges, one of my favs. I’ll give it a try, just starting out moderate, I’ll chrono some loads this weekend and load up some stouter loads to. Even with the moderate load of 5744 the poor little gong did few revolutions when that 250 XTP made impact. Fun!

About the only classic cartridge missing is a good 32-40. I have the original pre-1899 High Wall action rifle Neal Rice built for himself for competition.
Ron Long built a mutual friend a gorgeous High Wall in 38-55 for hunting. Issue is that it was XXX wood and engraving and the gentleman was to scared to haul around the Colorado Mountains Elk hunting. So Ron built him a plain one, and I ended up with the fancy one.
Ummmm, and a Stevens model 52, a Schuetzen Junior Pope built with complete 33-47 tool kit while he was the boss at Stevens. False muzzle, mould, lube pump, short starter, and breech seater. All the accessories.
It's over the entertainment center cap. My wife thinks it is jewelry with the engraving.

I've been collecting classic single shot rifles for about 50 years.
