Thinking about buying a Lilja barrel

Have been competing with Krieger and some Bartlien barrels at 600 and 1000, haven't heard much on the Lilja barrels in long range competition. My question is how many you Lilja barrel shooters are out there getting good results and in what calibers are you competing with and how many grooves the barrel has in that caliber.

I’ve got a hammer on a 6x47, and a Lilja won at Deep Creek last year. I’d not give up Krieger unless forced to though.

The ones I used in the past were all 1-17 3-groove. There were no options, at least then.

8 twist 4 grooves is what I have. I haven’t been shooting much but the custom contour for a barrel block that Carson made for my Rendezvous gun was good enough for 2nd overall in 2023. (Only year I’ve shot that barrel) that was an aggregate and 8 targets at 600 and 8 at 1k, group and score. 6 Dasher. I’ve got a 1.200 straight that shoots really good too.

Lilja is a top shelf choice no question, we’ve had world class results out West with them.. give one a chance and let the barrel develop what to do Next… good shooting one of the best agg seasons 1000 yard bench I had in recent years came out of a Lilja 4 groove 6mm and a 1”er for 5 shots at 1000 also came out of that blank and a drove of 2” and 3” for 5 on a mid day rotation ….

I have used one since 2019, it has been part of, or all of my aggrergate records and 2021 LG score in 1000 yard IBS Nationals. I am over 1500 rounds now and it still shoots.
