H4895 and H4198 -- Hodgdon Availability Report

Lt-30 is working fine as well as v-130. For 30br. I know h-4198 is the gold standard and it does shoot good. But 22x and 250 at a 100 yards is all right for me. I'll wait for the 8 pounder 1 can limit.

Randy, is this better? Asking for a friend......;)

Belding and Mull Powder Measure. Still have mine, bought new in 1970.

It would seem that they are still priced too low. By any measure, stock lasting only minutes says that things are too cheap. I wonder how high it would need to go to actually sit in stock for a couple days? $200 a pound?
This is a similar scenario to the auto industry... the manufacturers reduced supply to increase demand. Once everyone overspent keeping up with the jones the enthusiasm and hoarding mentality subsided .. now there is an overabundance of inventory and the manufacturers will have to give rebates to reduce prices hoping to revive sales.

There’s no over abundance of gun powder if there was I would have bought 50lbs of 4198 but I was allowed 1 because there’s not much out there

I wonder how many pounds of product is made in each batch?

How many reloaders in the world?

Average powder inventory of each reloader?

Eventually there will be an over abundance once the hoarders get their fill, promise just watch.

Also there is a wonderful person out there extinguishing needless wars.

I think a pack of chewing tobacco is in the neighborhood of $15 now. Shooting may be cheaper in comparison.
Grew up here in farm country where most grew tobacco brings back memories. The tobacco was taken to sale and dragged on floors and walked on where a week before the building was filled with cattle for sale that were crapping all over the place. It was never cleaned. Whenever i thought i wanted to chew, i remembered that. Sorry, your comment brought it to mind again

I'm still trying to figure out if 40lbs of H4895 is enough?

Let’s do the math
Approx 7000 gr per pound x 40 lb = 280,000 gr divided by let’s say 31gr per Bra load looks like 9032 .2 rounds .

that is 9 bbls if your math is right. I'm sitting on 5 new bbls right now. The need is real!
