Building A ELR Rifle

Looks like the 2nd FP (M2F) is a new offering, both in cw and ccw. Maybe e-mail them and ask?

"The riflescope was able to assert itself as a newcomer in the GB FT-R national team's test lasting several weeks against the already established products of other brands. The team will be competing with these optics at the 2026 World Championships."
I e-mailed Schmidt & Bender, and got a prompt reply.
The 10x60x56 CM11, 1/8 clicks, 2d focal plane is available in Germany. Let’s say with shipping and any tax, $5500.

I am going to contact rack of the big supplyers in country and see if when it will be available State Side…….
On Sale;)

How much available elevation does that scope have?

If I am reading their literature correctly, 86 minutes. The big Valdada has 100. Of course, that’s a 34mm tube in the S&B compared to a 40 in the Valdada.
How many minutes you figure you'll need in your rail to reach target and still be optically centered.

I need 53 minutes to get to 2000 yards with mine. I have a 30 moa rail. I'm also at 5000 ft. Elevation.

Even for a 34mm tube that’s kinda low but higher magnification scopes seem to have that trend.

I run a 45 moa rail and have 25ish mils available elevation with my scope(34mm) that gets me to 2400ish with the 338 and 2150 with the 7mm and I have a Charlie tarac for more when needed.

Well, my Wife told me she would get me any scope I wanted for my birthday, which is Feb 5.

I am really leaning toward the Schmidt & Bender. I usually don’t think much about warranties, but theirs seems rock solid. And when you are forking out $5000 for a Conglomeration of aluminum and glass, the warranty just might mean something.

This is the scope that has my attention. I like the reticle, the second focal plane, and the 1/8 clicks. The quality of the glass should be as good as anything I could purchase to handle the mirage at The TackDriver.

Anybody know anybody that has one.

Kinda minimal available elevation but certainly good glass

I have been using the Vortex Gen 3 Razor 6-36x56 paired with the Burris XTR Signature Rings. The scope has 120moa elevation and the rings give me another 40moa. This setup has been dependable on my 338.

Regards
Rick

I chambered the barrel tonight with the 338 Ackley Imp, then throated to to fit the 300 grn Berger.
I have no idea how long this throat is, it’s way out there.
Here is the 300 Berger seated in a case with the shank to boat tail junction around .090 from the neck shoulder junction. This is the bullet in the lands.
I figure it will lengthen after break in, so this looks about right.
Thanks to @moondog for the loan of the reamer and throater.
