Lapua 300 WSM brass

thats interesting. if they both had mild loads on their first firing then thats definitely the opposite of what ive seen. i always do a mild load on the first firing, regardless of cartridge, to work harden the primer pockets a bit.

Just got 4 boxes of Lapua 300wsm brass, anybody got an AMP code for new and turned brass ? seems like Lapua neck wall is slightly thinner about a thou thinner than ADG,
My ADG new brass is code is #152 and #138 for 0.013" turned brass
I'm gonna burn few cases eventually but it's just too purty right now.

Thank you, that number seems high considering my ADG brass is about .001" thicker and I got #152

I just got in 3 boxes of these I purchased from grafs to use in my 7-300wsm.

The brass measures .554 at the solid case head. This will be a no go for my reamers which uses the standard .200 datum dimension of .5563

My adg brass measures .5505 at the base, a full .0035 smaller then lapua

My chamber is .5563 so far no problems, and no clickers.

How many firings? The PRC chamberings get clickers with .003 clearance on a virgin case. .005 seems to be the sweet spot.

If anyone is interested in new Lapua brass with H4831SC as a fireforming load, here is a ladder test I did at 900 yards.
There was no sign of pressure, but make sure you start low if testing in your rifle. My barrel is 31.50" LG
