Who's got a new truck ?

You just can’t beat electric for the immediate power and torque. I’m no electric car fanboy, but making an electric car/truck that outperforms its gasser brother is really easy. The Tesla Cybertruck in beast mode will go 0-60mph in 2.6s, find me a gas truck or car that does that.

Yep agree I just like driving for 5 hours without powering up for an hour every 90 miles. Plus I'm a combustion engine guy. Love real engines.

Please recycle your aluminum cans, Ford needs the metal.
Im not a Ford fan, at all, but I will say, everybody who lives around here with an aluminum body ford, has no rust or corrosion. That is worth alot when a pickup is 8-10 years old and its time to do some major fixing. I know of 2 or 3 f150 with 250k + miles and they are completely corrosion free. One of the f150 is on its 3rd ecoboost engine but that is beside the point.

Buy whatever you like, they all have issues, the newer they are the cheaper they are built in my opinion.

Just my .02

First two things I added after purchase, 23 channel CB and gun rack. My then fiance' told me later she really hoped I didn't put a gun rack in it. In Great Falls, MT and thought they were supposed to be standard equipment. LOL.
I assume you found a new fiance then,,lol. A few years back I found one of those 70's gun racks on ebay - new in box. Unfortunately the rubber coating had degraded and was tacky. They were actually great functional racks.

Duct tape works and is so cool.

I'm looking for a new full size P/U truck.

Who's got a new one .... how do you like it and what did you have before.

I am leaning towards a Tundra or a GMC Sierra, but have not done any research as of yet.

Lemme' know

Thanks

Thank goodness I don’t have to purchase either one. How will the younger generation ever get out of debt with this massive inflation.

I've had my share of the younger generation putting me in debt. They are now on their own. I just bought a 2025 Nissan Rogue SV for myself yesterday. First new vehicle I've bought myself since 2001, wife has had a few.

This past February, I bought a new 2024 GMC 2500 AT4 with the 6.6 GAS motor to replace my 2006 Chevy 2500 Duramax. The old Duramax gave me 17 great trouble free years. When it came time to look at new trucks, I looked at them all. One thing I struggled with was whether to buy another diesel. I didn't tow all the time but at the same time, I DID NOT want a 1/2 ton with active fuel management. That is how I ended up with what I got.

Impressions of the new truck (5K miles on the odo now) are that it has plenty of power. It gets about 16 mpg on the interstate. The metal in all the new trucks are complete crap.....flimsy and thin. I was taking a deer to the processor this Fall and had a deer run in front of me on the way. That rewarded me with my first ding in the truck when the deer's rear leg connected with the front of the bed.

The trucks today aren't worth what they're asking. I searched high and low over the entire country to find the best prices. I ended up buying several states away and had the truck brought in via a hotshot. I've never bought a truck that way but will do it again to find the right price.
