My GMC 4door Duramax 4x4 has 330,000 on it and I would still drive it anywhere!GMC. Got a Mechanic Coming.
the best truck is the one that's paid for and dependable. No matter the make.My GMC 4door Duramax 4x4 has 330,000 on it and I would still drive it anywhere!
I sure like the looks of the new Ford Ranger Raptor and I ain't a Ferde person or a Durge person either!
Pretty much, but not always.the best truck is the one that's paid for and dependable. No matter the make.

I keep kicking this around in my head. I would most likely go Chevy/Gmc. If I suffered a traumatic brain injury that impaired my mental faculties even more, maybe, jus maybe Dodge/Ram...
I wouldn't buy anything car/truck newer than 2019 with all the bs after that.
any info on econ of truck purchases is welcome here. I bought one new pickup in my life. the rest have been real nice used. Best truck I ever had was an F150, 97-03 model. I cant remember what year it was. It was a tank. Currently have an 08 Dodge 1500 w hemi engine. I drive like my age. Pretty solid vehicle. Ride is rough as can be bc of old style suspension.Unless you’ve spent 30 years in the auto business I have to respectfully disagree with your assessment. I can assure you that the profit margin of a new Ram truck is +/-2% from what it was when they launched the second generation Ram (code name BR) in 1994. If you want to get into the specifics of why a new truck today costs more than a truck you bought in 1994, I’d be happy to do that with you, but I hate to bore the others on this form.
Merry Christmas
Dave

The Expedition are a really good ride like that now too.I bought a 2020 Ford Ranger Limited ($62) - now have 90K miles on it. I use it mostly for traveling longer distances (not around town). My wife won't ride in her new KIA car when we are going somewhere - the truck is her preferred cushion. Lots of power (twin turbos), love the two 120 volt outlets in the cabin so I can work while she drives), and did I mention the ride? - well, it is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned in my 65 years of owning vehicles. It is a bugger to park at Walmart - but all 4-door trucks are big and hard to park these days.
20 mph. Oil changes and tire rotations only - no other maintenance whatsoever. Excellent vehicle. Have loaned my truck to two other people to use for the day. Both bought the same truck (well, one 2022 and one 2023)
Absolutly! This was the scene of the second crash. The first one was 1.5 miles up the road. He tossed an empty fifth of Fireball into my pasture. Was the driver running on 100% alcohol ?
I've tried to buy used in the past but, they are normally not much cheaper and the loans on new trucks are better.any info on econ of truck purchases is welcome here.
