Would it come out with that bulge?I would make a cast of the chamber just so I could have it.
SpainI agree with this too. Bergara puts together a lot of there rifles here in the States, they should fix you up in no time. Ask for a premium barrel for your misfortune.
I think they put the Premier series of rifles together over here in the states. I think that’s where it would go to correct a problem.Spain
I used to have a Beretta Neos 22. One day I saw info about a recall on certain serial numbers. I went onto their site and found the info. There was a box to enter your serial number. Sure enough mine was part of recall. They actually contacted me immediately, and set up return. The next day UPS showed up and had a preprinted shipping label. I got it back from them a few weeks later repaired. So my experience was great. It's a warranty issue, so Midway was right in telling the client to call Bergara. If they told him to send it to them, they would just have to send it on to Bergara. I am no big fan of Midway, but they were right to skip a step in a warranty repair that they can add nothing to but additional delays. Several folks mentioned Tikka, but I can tell you that Beretta handles the warranty work on Tikkas in the USA, and they are TERRIBLE! Again, I love Tikka rifles, but Beretta is terrible to deal with.
Bergara will stand behind it. Make the callI just picked up a new bergara in 243 win from MidwayUSA. Shot one round through it am knew something was wrong. Pulled out the brass and there was a bulge around the entire lower neck. Put the camera in the barrel and it looks like they milled a groove around the entire chamber. The throat/rifling looks terrible as well. Called midway and they basically said too bad and offered me bergara’s phone number. Pretty disappointed in midway as I’ve spent about 10k with them in the last month.
Not sure what the best path forward is right now. Not sure I even want to bother with sending it to bergara.
Needless to say, very disappointed

That is about what Ruger told me for lead time.I called. They sent me a basic form to fill out which I did. Haven’t heard back yet. Asked the guy on the phone about lead times. 4-6 weeks after they get it.
My understanding is that Matt Fleming was let go last Wed….February 24th 2021 midway made Matt Fleming the president and CEO of midway. That is roughly when 24 hour orders and support ended at Midway, along with the good customer service we had come to expect from them. I don't see how Larry can be blamed for all of this? If your rifle is to be repaired would you really want someone from Midway doing the work? A new rifle would need an FFL to transfer the old rifle to the factory and the new rifle to you, way more paperwork BS than fixing it even if it requires a new barrel. And what you said in post #1 about not even wanting to send it back to Bergara, what other choice do you have? It is my understanding the custom shop just outside of Atlanta does these kind of repairs, and in the begining it was run by an ex marine corps armorer who had quite a reputation. One of the previous posters said something about a premium barrel, that is what they do at that shop. I know your disappointed, don't give up or give in push them to make it better than it was susposed to be. Good luck!!
They will make it right. Working at a Rifle range is see time and time again how well the Bagara rifles perform with factory ammo. I didn't know squat about them when I started. So far I have only seen two out of 100's that have come through here that have had to be sent back. both times the returned fire arm came out to be a 1/2 to 3/4MOA rifle's.I called. They sent me a basic form to fill out which I did. Haven’t heard back yet. Asked the guy on the phone about lead times. 4-6 weeks after they get it.
They basically said since I took it from the FFL, they won’t do anything. Said I should have inspected it before taking it. I guess that means taking a bore camera now.Daylate was a reason given? I had noticed lots of changes in the last couple of years. Reduced hours, way less customer service, higher prices, and shipping seemed to be slower than before. The only thing that Larry did that kinda bothered me was he seemed to be oblivious to how Wayne was running the NRA and looked to be enabling it.
"Said I should have inspected it before taking it." << for a chambering issue? note to self, don't ever buy a firearm from them. They basically said since I took it from the FFL, they won’t do anything. Said I should have inspected it before taking it. I guess that means taking a bore camera now.
