There & Back!Bergara will pay the shipping
You get my humor…. LolSounds like prior beef with Midway
Would be good to see pictures of the rifle. That looks like a .243 shot in a .308 chamber. Did you check the muzzle for size?
I know Scheels in Iowa City used to have a firearms return policy a few years ago. Not sure if they still do - I used it one time and was very pleased. Are you new to guns? Soon as you sign, nobody is taking it back. You always deal direct with the manufacturer. I also agree on the Tikka, but Bergara is probably the next choice for a factory gun.
Wouldn't the OP's FFL record the caliber?Would be good to see pictures of the rifle.
Shipping mistakes can happen.
But probably just writes it off the box label.Wouldn't the OP's FFL record the caliber?
Ruger customer service is Great!I've had 2 guns that needed to be sent back to their factories (Rem, Ruger). I called them both and they sent me shipping labels. Ruger also sent a box for shipment as I didn't have the original.
That I’m aware of once you buy a new gun for big box store it’s on you to jump through the hoopsI just picked up a new bergara in 243 win from MidwayUSA. Shot one round through it am knew something was wrong. Pulled out the brass and there was a bulge around the entire lower neck. Put the camera in the barrel and it looks like they milled a groove around the entire chamber. The throat/rifling looks terrible as well. Called midway and they basically said too bad and offered me bergara’s phone number. Pretty disappointed in midway as I’ve spent about 10k with them in the last month.
Not sure what the best path forward is right now. Not sure I even want to bother with sending it to bergara.
Needless to say, very disappointed
