New Arken 7x35

News flash bud…your own government uses your tax dollars against you and are a much larger threat to your way of life than China ever will be. I haven’t seen Chinese soldiers invading or attempting to ruin my life in any way, have you?

I’m not promoting buying Chinese stuff, but if China wasn’t willing to make a lot of our products, our way of life and conveniences we have wouldn’t exist. They probably even made the phone or computer you are typing your messages on for this forum. They are a necessary evil for Americans. Just saying

I have my own personal experience with Chinese products. It can be described with one word - failure and the solution for me is "never again". To me, it's no fun to go shoot and find that my windage won't adjust, or the glass gives too much glare to see my target, or it doesn't track accurately.

Is there an option to not pay taxes other than being homeless? Remember the Chinese sending balloons over the US? Or their threat to take Taiwan? Or their dumping treasury bonds? The reason Arken, Vortex's lower lines, and other Chinese lines do so well is people clamor to buy a product they think can compete in performance with higher priced brands. Until they don't.

Let’s not let this thread get stupid. If you don’t like Chinese optics then there is absolutely no reason you should even be posting and harassing people on this topic. STFU and move on
I do apologize to you Led Slinger. I am sorry I offended you. I knew when I addressed someone who addressed me as "Bud" that it would not go well.

I do believe everyone has a right to their own opinions but sometimes its just better to not share some of the them especially when it become political some of the users of this forums are retired and can't afford the 1000.00 to 3500.00 for glass but the ones under 800.00 and less are keeping them out at the range and thats a good thing IMO.

Never owned a Chinese made optic..
So there's that.
Oh good lord man, you don`t know what you`re missing out on!!! All funnin aside, the chykneez actually have been stepping up the game on some scopes out there. If you think about it, they had to step it up on the quality. If they hadn`t, companies would be pulling their manufacturing out of chynaw and moved it to other Asian country`s because they wouldn`t be able to sell their junk. The chykneezium workers are also becoming more woke. They want better pay. Won`t be to far along where that will come to fruition on the chykneezium gubba`mint.

This makes a world of sense. Some of us are trying to get by with the cheaper scopes due to financial aspects. And most of us have found something that works for us. If it's not for you so be it. Move along.

I’m not offended. I just don’t like trolling of threads by people making comments that derails it from the topic of discussion. This topic is about Arken scopes. If America made scopes in the $300-$500 price range with the same level of mechanical reliability as Arken, then without a doubt I would buy the American made option. But we don’t. I don’t. Know if there’s ANY scopes made in America at that price range.

Most of the high end stuff is made in Germany and Japan, but everyone seems to forget about World War II. It wasn’t even that long ago!
Has China ever attacked the USA? So how are they worse? Germany and Japan don’t supply us with affordable products either. Affordability of products keeps our economy running by increasing the flow of money

What if China made the best quality stuff and it was really expensive and the cheap junk was coming out of Japan and Germany? Would we reverse our opinion and purchasing habits?

But again, I’m off topic so I’m done commenting. The whole thing is just stupid if you really think about it

Arken fills a niche, not sure anybody fills it as well. I have some top tier glass but I can’t justify putting that on every rifle I have to dial with, can’t afford that many Gucci scopes. I thought MeOpta was a good value that worked, I’ve been using three of their Optika6 3-18s and have been extremely happy with them. Great scopes for 550-700, FFP Mrad. Still like those scopes a lot.

Like stated earlier in this thread I tried an Arken out of curiosity, now I have a few, mostly EPLs and Gen SH-4s. Most of them are on long range rimfire rigs, the EPLs are on a couple different centerfires. I’ve also set up a half a dozen rifles for friends and family with EPLs. All hunting rifles used in areas where long distance is the norm, areas where 2-300 yards shots are rare.all of those scopes have done very good.

How can you beat Arken for 300.00? Roughly 320.00 delivered to my door when on sale. I understand some guys have had issues with them but I haven’t, haven’t any issues other than a couple turret caps that came loose because someone didn’t torque them down proper, not Arkens fault, my fault. When we are out shooting 200 eggs with 22LRs at ranges from 80-250 yards there’s a lot of dialing that takes place, parallax comes into play and those dang SH-4s just work. Great reticle, good optics. I’m always amazed after we go through a couple bricks of rimfire just how well they do. I honestly don’t know of another scope/optic for 320.00 that comes close.

I understand the where they are made thing, I also understand Vets benefit, they own Arken and Arken certainly helps a lot of guys participate in the whole dial a target scene. I’ve had problems with a lot of good scope companies, I’ve sent back a half a dozen leupolds over the years, had a Burris signature I’ve used for twenty years freeze up on me last time out. Problems arise with all scope manufacturers, even those Gucci scopes. How they handle those problems is key and how often you have problems is key. That’s something Arken has done well, they are still a new company, still learning but overall I think they do a good job. They made some mistakes along the way, that’s true.

7-35x56? Can’t wait to try one. A little over kill for what we use them for but still fun. I’ll probably let you guys be the guinea pigs though. Almost tried that 1-8 and Ledd ended that, lol…

I'm going to wait for the guinea pigs to test the 7-35x too. LOL I do have a EP8 showing up Thursday for my AR to try out so we will see where it falls in the wide range of reports it has had from different people. For $299 it was worth a try.
I’m hoping my EP8 was just a fluke. It did show up poorly packaged from Amazon so maybe got beat around too much. I also forgot to mention that for some reason the elevation turret clicks weren’t as solid and audible as the windage turret. Odd but everything seemed to work. I liked the reticle. Has a very nice small aiming point when on higher magnification levels. Looking forward to hearing what you think. Definitely check parallax on 8x. The glass was good enough that I could have lived with it, but the parallax at 8x was the deal breaker for me.

Wait, wasn`t it YOU that said these arkens could take a beating much more harsher than a Vortex?
